FCC Commercial Furniture Inc. is an American based, one stop manufacturer of custom products for the restaurant and hospitality industry.
In March of 1967, Freight Container Corporation (FCC) commenced operation in a 10,000 square foot facility in Temple City,California, manufacturing light weight fiberglass shipping containers for the air freight industry. The company was started by Robert Crowe and is now run by his sons; Gary, Scott and Mick Crowe.
The company began producing fiberglass outdoor seating on a contract basis for Tastee Freeze in 1968. Shortly thereafter, FCC phased out of the shipping container production. Contract fiberglass work and a developing line of outdoor furniture became the company's mainstay for the next ten years. FCC entered the indoor seating market in 1979 with a contract from Taco Bell Corporation. The company grew steadily in this field, primarily with this single customer. In 1982, FCC was renamed "FCC Commercial Furniture".
The business grew steadily through the 1980 s, not only in terms of sales and staff, but in the overall complexity. A diverse product line was developed. The ability to design, engineer and manufacture intricate seating and decor packages was cultivated in the latter portion of the 1980s and early 1990s. Production facilities were developed in molded fiberglass, meta framework, cabinetry, wood milling and upholstery.
FCC moved all operations to Roseburg Oregon in June of 1993. Since then there have been three major building expansions in 1997, 1999 and 2007, more than tripling the size of the manufacturing facility, which is now almost 140,000 square feet.
FCC is now an approved leading manufacturer by the restaurant and hospitality industry. Providing dining packages for McDonald's, Taco Bell, Burger King, KFC, In & out Burger and more...
