I read about the “Fister”Modifications in the Facebook group chats. I wasn’t comfortable having a local shop modifying the exhaust on my “New” 2000 Carrera Cab. I looked at their website and it was obvious this was the route to go and it’s economical! Darin is a very personable guy. I had the local Midas guys install them and they sound amazing! Upgraded my 996 4S to the "Fister" exhaust. Besides the epic improvement in tone, sound, etc. Darin was a breeze to work with. Prompt on the email replies and fun to chat with on the phone. Some shop owners give off the sense that they "can't wait to get you off the phone" but Darin was happy to answer all my questions. I just installed my Fister exhaust on my 997.1 S. EXACTLY what I was looking for. Nice growl down low and roars up top, without spending a fortune. Darin was an absolute pleasure to work with! Highly recommend!

I called Darin Fister last week from Santa Monica, practically pleading for him to install his Fister Mod with hardly any notice on my newly acquired 996. I was on my first real road trip in the car, and wanted to make the requisite drive up the coast through Big Sur on the PCH. Instead of replying "Your lack of planning does not constitute an emergency on my part" as he should have, he worked me in Friday, and came in early to do the install. Darin has marketed and sold his exhaust mod successfully all over the world, at a fair price, with his name on it. It really is the first mod you should consider if you want your Porsche to sound like the true sports car it is, instead of a sewing machine. I got the 996 because I figured it was the closet thing to a motorcycle on four wheels that I could afford; somewhat a concession to aging. But the sound wasn't right. Now the sound is right! A youtube guy's wife said it best. "It's more growly, but not too growly, like not douchebaggy". It gives you that muscular aural feedback like a bike when you want it, running through the gears; yet when cruising at highway speeds I could still enjoy Chet Baker like it was still stock. To my ears it's just perfect. Also, calling a place, having the owner answer, and then perform the work himself is just unheard of anymore... Thanks Darin. It was a pleasure.Service: Exhaust

Every single review is a 5 star, because it's just amazing! From the ordering, to the shipping to the core refund. Could not have been easier or more professional. I was a little hesitant to modify my Porsche 997 exhaust because why mess with something that is already pretty good and risk an annoying drone that many exhausts seem to cause? But I did a lot of research on line and people love the Fister exhaust. It just sounds amazing! It takes the factory sounds and turns it up a couple of notches. It's powerful on startup and then settles down, until you rev the car. No drone, just sweet sound! Love the mod! Wish I had done it sooner!Service: Exhaust
