Federation of Families Miami-Dade Chapter (FOF) is an organization that supports the work of FACES, a program/initiative to improve mental health and substance abuse services for youth in Miami-Dade County.

FOF-Miami is an independent non-profit organization.

Mission

Educate, value and strengthen families to create communities and generations that are empowered and not discriminated.

I contacted Federation of Families because I needed help with my toddler’s mildly disruptive behavior. Rocio was assigned as my Parent Educator. I quickly learned from her that my daughter’s behavior was very typical for a 2-3yr old and it was me who needed to change my parenting methods and the way I reacted to her behavior . Rocio was friendly, non-judgmental, and very easy to talk to. She showed genuine interest in the well being of myself and all 3 of my children. Rocio is not only knowledgeable on the Triple P Parenting method but her experience from raising 4 adult children gives her the credibility to assist families like mine. I highly recommend this FREE program as the 1st step parents should take when they become concerned with their child’s behavior. If you are willing to put in the work, you will definitely find this program valuable.
My experience was great! Throughout the entire process, each session was very informative and helpful when it came down to really understanding how to be the best parent for my child. Raising a child doesn’t come with a manual, so the tips and different methods to go about certain situations were very helpful. My parent educator Becky was more than amazing! She was very helpful and attentive with each session. She was always professional and well educated on each of the lessons and gave great tips and examples. She definitely made my experience well worth it. Overall, I definitely recommend this program for new parents, or parents who really need some help with their child’s behavior and learning about how to understand and handle different situations.
Becky has been a god sent to my family. She has gone above and beyond for my daughter and I. She always makes you feel heard, important and special. She has helped me through many challenges without judgement and has opened my eyes to small things that make big impacts. Her support has allowed me to follow through and become a better parent as well as a better human being. This program teaches you parenting skills but these skills are also life skills that you can use in different relationships. It's truly an amazing program. I am extremely lucky and happy to have been able to participate. Becky , you are the best and I will always be greatful.
Ms. Gloria was one of the best help ever from the beginning til the end. I couldn’t thank her enough. This service is very helpful it’s worth every bit of time. I just want to thank Becky for her amazing help with teaching us how to gentle parent at the same time remaining authoritative and showing our son how to improve his behavior! She showed me my flaws in my parenting skills and helped me to improve them and show me how to remain consistent with consequences to behavior that are inappropriate. She was very detailed with us and very caring, you can feel her genuine care towards the family! We wish we could keep her forever but with the training she provided we have been able to manage on our own. I would definitely use triple p parenting again if we need it!
The Federation of Families is an excellent resource for families and children. My experience with Becky, our parent educator with the Triple P program was excellent! I have recommended them to my friends and other parents that I work with. If you need help, they will find a way to assist you and your family! You are not alone!
We have had a great experience with Federation of Families. Our coach Becky has helped us get through some difficult times. We have utilize the tools and techniques we have learned to help our children be more disciplined. As parents we have learned better ways to manage our household by simple changes in our day to day routine. I highly recommend this program, especially Becky!!!

The Triple P Parenting Program, also know as the PPP, was such an eye opener for my family and I. We had to take the course as a family and found ourselves learning more and more with every visit from our case worker, Mrs. R.Tucen. She was knowledgeable and always showed us the greatest respect. We actually felt like students instead of subjects. Being in the PPP program taught me 3 things. You can always stand to learn something new. Our kids are much smarter than we think. And being open minded allows you to take in more of what you’re learning. Thank you so much Mrs. R. Tucen and Federation of Families for such a wonderful program.
The Triple P Parenting program is an amazing program to help parents with techniques and strategies in dealing with their every day life. There’s an amazing group of parent educators, who are dedicated, kind hearted, & hard-working, to assist the families. I recommend this program to all parents.
