Feb.1/23 Received horrible customer service. I received a call from Fellow Flowers delivery driver advising me that I had flowers to be delivered. I said I would be home at 5pm. This was not acceptable as they do not deliver that late. I explained that unfortunately I work out of town. What else can be done? They told me I could pick it up myself before 5:30pm at the store, which I was willing to do but wanted to ensure than the delivery fee was refunded. The delivery driver told me that the charge for delivery was non refundable? So what was the point? Then I spoke to the manager Donna and explained that I really couldn’t make it to the south end of St. Thomas before 5:30pm and was looking for a solution. Her response was “well we don’t operate 24/7”. We ended the conversation with, she would see what she could do and get back to me, but very unhappy about it. Then I called back to advise that I could have the flowers delivered the following morning instead, but early at 8:30am - just trying to suggest a possible solution to them. And the lady that picked up again was rude and said “you work every single day?”very sarcastically and continued to give a lot of attitude, like I was an idiot for expecting a delivery after 5pm. I did address that I did not appreciate the sour customer service, but it was not received. Then Donna the owner/manager got back on the phone and said “you know, we’re just going to give the money back, this isn’t working” and hung up on me. It was extremely unprofessional and seeing as there are multiple flower shops in the St. Thomas area, I strongly suggest seeking alternative flower shops if you expect to be treated respectfully at the very least.
Fernlea delivered an absolutely gorgeous bouquet, full of fresh blooms in a pleasing variety of colours and shapes. Wonderful. Mom loves them.

We are not from St.Thomas and needed a floral shop that did great work. This was actually, amazing work! Better than what we expected; arrangement looked better than the photo! Super happy as I am usually very particular with my arrangement orders. I expect them to be almost perfect and these pretty much were! Loved how Fellow Fernlea Flowers placed a lot of flowers that haven't bloomed yet. It really is beautiful! Thank you. Highly recommend this floral shop.
I ordered a flower arrangement based on the Graceful Embrace that I saw on line. The bouquet shows at least 10 roses just on one side. The arrangement that was sent to my cousin had a total of SIX ROSES. I was charged $90 total even though I had mentioned to the owner that I wished to spend at least $100. To add insult to injury, the pot they used was made of gray cement. It looked awful with the hydrangeas and roses. It was more suited to a funeral. I had ordered the bouquet to thank my cousin for my 8-day visit at her home. I made sure that the flowers were delivered while I was still there. I had been cheated before by another florist, and ever since then, I make sure I see the flowers in person before leaving. I will be staying with my cousin again next year, and I sure as hell won't be ordering any flowers from this dishonest store.
My godmother called me to tell me how beautiful the flowers were- beautiful shades of peach. They made her so happy!
THIS RATING HAS BEEN EDITED FROM A 5-STAR RATING: Absolutely beautiful arrangement! Crafted with quality and care! Delivery service is always on time and with a smile!! Edit: I have changed my rating with great disappointment. I have been a long-time loyal customer to Fellows Fernlea Flowers. It is with a heavy heart I write this amended review because I do feel like I am betraying Trina and all that she built, however, since the change of ownership the customer service is no longer there nor is any empathy or understanding. This arrangement in this review I sent to my mother for Easter, it arrived beautiful and fresh, within the 5 days I arrived to see an expensive arrangement withered, the roses looked pathetic, the hydrangea brown and sad. I decided to give Fellows Fernlea another go because of Trina and the excellent service she had created, and maintaining the legacy of the locally owned business; to which I champion, support, and promote in my hometown. I ordered from the Lovingly site. What I found on the site was a limited number of arrangements to choose from—indicative of an overwhelmed or struggling business this is based on my opinion and experience—The site gave the option of viewing arrangements that could be ordered and delivered after May 10, 2022. The calendar to schedule delivery for Mother’s Day was "greyed-out" from May 6 to May 9, and I was unable to select the delivery date I preferred, the delivery date defaulted to May 5, 2022. I did make a spelling mistake on the "card message" and needed to call the next day to remedy my faux pas. The shop opened at 8:30 am as per the Google search results, and I decided to call first thing, and I did call at 8:30 am. May 5, 2022: 8:30 am My first attempt at calling, 8:30 am, they allowed the phone to ring and disconnect with a message "message turned off." Poor customer service check one! I called again 8:33 am—the person who answered was bothered and curt with each response, and then abruptly put me on hold twice. When I told her, she was being curt and I didn't appreciate her tone, she once again abruptly put me on hold. Poor customer service check two. Another associate came on the line and was unwilling to listen or be empathetic and quick to place blame with me for the arrangement not lasting more than five days, stating "you should have called us immediately", I live 5 hours away, it just so happened that I was able to drive to St. Thomas within 5 days of the arrangement being sent. Poor customer service check three. [I do realize that I am putting the quality and the possible cancellation of the order due for delivery May 8 in jeopardy by amending this rating and post—however, it will be what they decide it to be, the issue at hand is their burden to bear.] So, to summarize my latest experience with Fellows Fernlea Flowers [May 5, 2022], terrible customer service. I stated plainly that I was not looking for a discount or any compensation for the Easter arrangement, I simply wanted them to be aware that the procedures they are using to design the fresh floral arrangements are not effective in maintaining an appropriate longevity of the floral arrangements they are creating. I can confidently say this did not happen when the founding owner Trina maintained her business. The name should be changed—in my opinion— so as not to disrespect the Fellows’ name and the hard work Trina put into establishing a longstanding local business name that defined quality. Some business people think riding the coat-tails of others' success will make them successful—in this case, with my experience and in my opinion, I find this as not true. Very friendly staff, a great variety of fresh and artificial flowers, and plants. My daughter sent me a gorgeous arrangement from there, and then i visited them in person to replace plants that died during a trip. It was a great experience. Bought a very cute gift for our anniversary.
