Location: 4/5: Busy area, some traffic, especially in the afternoon. Ambiance: 3/5: The place is small... 5 or 6 countertop seats only. Tiny area for dine-in. Tiny area for staff to cook and serve. Value for $$: 4/5: A double cheese burger and a triple cheese burger, two drinks, and a bag of chips for less than plus tip $20. Not too shabby. Service: 5/5: Awesome! We grabbed dinner burgers...though the staff were tired, they were friendly, helpful, responsive, and joked with all the customers who came in the diner. Well done! Hygiene: 2/5: The tables, chairs, and floor were old and a little greasy. Fortunately, the plates, cups, and utensils were one use, so, all were very clean. Cuisine: 5/5: Fountain drinks were...well, fountain drinks. Burgers were smash burger, minimal toppings, and were very tasty! Recommend: 5/5: We have already been back, and we have already recommended Ferrell's to several friends. Parking: Parking is terrible. Street-side. No parking lot.
Ferrells is one of those places that the moment you step in you know its going to be awesome food. Food gets a 5/5 without having to think about it. Every time we’re on a road trip we make sure to stop by ferrells, and there have been more than one occasion we or another family member brings back 20 at a time to share with everybody back home. Its just simply that good!!! Service gets 4/5 just because we happened to come at a time when it was busy and also there was only one person cooking, but i want to give it a 5 just because the cook is very sweet. Armosphere is 5/5 for SURE! Like i said up top its simply a place touched by the burger gods. It is a little funky inside so maybe if you are a stickler for that just take that as a note but its not more gross than any other fast food restaurant! Plus i think it adds character to the place. Conclusion: Great burgers and fries, friendly atmosphere, and pretty good service. I highly recommend a double cheeseburger with mustard, pickles, and onions, trust me we’d know The price is also very good, to put into perspective a double quarter pounder costs ~$8 while a double cheese from here is a little under $5
The burgers were OK, they don't have fries. Prices were good. The ladies behind the counter were quite gruff. They were out of RC the only cola on the menu. Only 6 counter stools for dine in eating. Opened in 1923, doesn't appear to have ever been updated. Ok for take out. We won't be back.Food: 3/5
If you are ever in Hopkinsville stop by this iconic restaurant for their amazing Ferrell's burger and breakfast! Ms. Marilyn will fix you right up! You can call in and pick up. They even use Door Dash!Food: 5/5
We got an order to go for cheeseburgers. Quick service even around lunch time. Warm buns, crispy edges to burger, cheese and a pickle. Very tasty for a quick bite.Food: 5/5
Great breakfast , burgers are superb the Chilli is amazing & Marylin & Missy are the best Food: 5/5
As much as I want to love this place, I am going to start this off with the service is amazing. The food was decent but as I sat in horror watching the way the food was prepared and served I was astonished, almost at a loss for words but here I am. As I was sitting at the counter I had ordered my food and I sat back and had noticed that there were a good amount of orders coming in, which was fine, but I did observe where the cook was smashing the raw hamburger meat, sat many of the buns not only next to the area but in the same area as the *raw* hamburger meat. As I am no stranger to safe food practices I had been absolutely appalled not only by this but the wonderful cashier that had served us our food had not washed her hands after handling money, and had not been wearing gloves as she had served our food. Not once did I witness the counter where the food was being prepped get washed, however I do say In good graces that the diner had a great atmosphere, both of the employees were kind and courteous and aside from the unsafe food preparation I would most definitely go back but as of now? I’ll keep my good health.
Amazing burger and chili cheese fries! The chili is to die for! Everything was fresh right in front of me. Great service and nice people. Definitely will be back. Thank you!Recommended dishesChili, Triple Cheeseburger
Ferrell's is the best little burger shop in Hopkinsville! The staff is excellent and Rhonda cooks a mean Heart Attack! The menu is straight forward and you get an authentic cafe burger! There are some seats, some standing counters but you can also call in and take it to-go! If you get a chance to stop by, I highly recommend it! Seriously though, of you have a heart appetite get the Heart Attack! Grilled cheese bottom, sausage, double cheeseburger, pickles, onions, bacon and chili to top it off! You'll need a knife and fork, but you'll be smiling the whole time! Pictures shown are of the inside and the Heart Attack being constructed! ENJOY!!!
The food is pretty good but the service is terrible. The place is always swimming in grease the cooks don’t wear hair nets or gloves which is super gross. Just a stuffy place to eat. The old ladies that work there are rude and complain about the job in your face.Food: 3/5
