While all movie theaters have heavily overpriced concessions, this is one of the priciest. The theaters weren't bad, but the sound quality wasn't great. The volume was pretty low for a theater. I'm not sure if "Sound of Freedom" doesn't have surround sound, but if it does, it was nothing to write home about. Overall, I would recommend this theater for someone who lives in Festus and doesn't want to go far for a movie. Other than that, go to Ronnie's.
Nice, clean, friendly family owned theater. No issues when we went to see Sound of Freedom as reported nationwide from other theaters. Very comfortable reclining seats. A good experience overall.
Was recommended for a great movie experience, and this was our first time there. It's my son's birthday and I had 5 kiddos with me, not sure if that was the problem? We got there, I asked if we had to buy them online as that's what I was told, but the girl at the counter at the bar told me paying at the counter was fine. I told her what I needed, and she said okay, then told me she could not get those seats as they were already reserved due to me trying to pay online. So I said well it says it times out in a minute. She refreshed the page, still not available. She said, "Come back in 30 min, and we can try again." Okay, at 4 pm, we'd would try again. Kids start to get rowdy just waiting. It's 4 pm. I get in line. I get a different girl at the counterby the pospcorn, and she says the spots are still unavailable. I said well it's been 30 min." The other girl said it only takes 30 min. That's when the popcorn counter tells me no, it can take up to an hour. This place, I assume, is good if you know what you're doing but not if it's your first time. I'm not sure if she was just annoyed with us, but her attitude and misguidance were not pleasurable for us.
Tried to go see the Barbie movie yesterday. Got there a half hour before the movie and the theater doors were completely locked. This was an afternoon movie as well. No notes or signs in the door either.
We went to see a 3:30 showing of the new spiderverse movie. The line for the tickets and concessions was somewhat long. The concessions were expensive, but they have comfortable reclining chairs with cup holders.
Pro: the seats were motorized and could recline as well as heat up with a Low and High heat setting. There wasn’t a lot of junk before the movie like with Wehrenberg Cons: the price of everything. Tickets, concessions, just outrageous.
Everything was great right up until I went to the bathroom, I know sounds weird but please listen as this is very important! PEEPING TOM HOLE!!! In the women’s restroom the last stall right across from the toilet is a perfectly circular hole in the wall. I got closer to inspect and found this very very strange and remembered before walking in I saw a few workers in a storage closet chatting away while grabbing things. I didn’t think anything of this till I saw the hole and it is right where that room is leading to! As I walked out the door was still open so I slowed down to take a peek. Sure enough you can see a break in the wall with nothing obstructing the view of it and a small light where the crack is, it was very obvious this hole was made from inside of the girls bathroom into that storage room. Please be cautious and aware this is the B and B theaters in Festus Mo. Be watchful and mindful, this could all be a misunderstanding but I did not want to risk the chance and I also plugged the hole with a tuft of a paper sticking out so it’s very visible to one who sees and no one can peek through unless removed.
Newly renovated! Amazing theater! Now I don't have to travel out of town to see a movie. New leather recliners heated in all theaters. New concessions and new food! Pepsi Spire! Bar with beers on tap! Can't say enough about it! Proud to call it my theater!
I'm really sad to have to give the place a 3 star as we have been here numerous times but myself and my wife both went to the movies to watch the new Creed movie in theater 1. When we first arrived and got to our seats it was chilly inside and my wife asked if they could turn the heat on. They told her yes and that they did. Well about half way through the movie it seemed to get colder and colder as it went on to the point I had to get my winter coat and my wife a blanket. I also asked others around us and they said they were freezing as well. So I went and told them it was freezing in the theater and they said they would turn on the heat because I was the third person to ask. By the end of the movie it did not get warmer in the theater instead it continued to get colder. My wife was not happy about it at all. And I was not either especially for paying like $27 for 2 tickets to freeze.
Wonderful experience. I was able to redeem two of my emergency tickets. Plus got free soda and popcorn for my birthday.
