Amazing! I must see for New Jersey natives and tourists alike! A little pricey but worth it. My kids had so much fun and they hand out so many freebies. Staff is knowledgeable and happy to be doing their jobs. You can bring in so no need to buy theirs. Dinosaurs are hyperrealistic and look like they were pulled from 65 million years ago. Historically, accurate to the max.
Went on a Saturday afternoon. The place wasn't crowded and there was ample parking. The dinosaur machines were designed well. Although few of them were not functioning. You need to time the shows right, else you may be going back and forth a bit. The shows were done well, and the staff were friendly. They had a sand pit as well to dig and find fossils, which seemed fun for the kids.
Save money and buy your tickets ahead of time online. We arrived early on a weekday morning. There wasn't very much of a crowd, and there was lots of room for all of the events. Apod a tree we got a map of the trail, and a schedule of activities located throughout. They had drawing, origami, scavenger hunt, shows and more. There were a few short areas where the path would into the shade, but other than that it was out in direct sunlight. I was actually surprised that in the heat that they did not have misting or cooling stations off any kind. There is a bathroom trailer on site, a place to buy concessions at a shaded area to sit, we bought tickets to the jump- there was only one employee, so the kids had to go one at a time. We also did the laboratory we also did the laboratory dig, which the kids really enjoyed which the kids really. All of the dinosaurs seem well taken care of and it's cool to get closer to them and have a different perspective.
I was staying near by the field Station and stumbled on it for something to do with my kids 5 and 6 year old. I have been to a park like this near my house and it too was a little expensive for what I feel you get. This place clearly is trying to add more value with extras and if you do all their extras you can spend a half day here. I was looking for something that took about 1-2 hours so that is all the time I spent here. We did make a full lap around the trail and saw all the dinosaurs. There is a decent variety but they do seem to need some work. About half of the 20ish dinosaurs moved and a few had some pretty noticeable damage. My kids really enjoyed the Dino bone dig spend about 20 minutes there. The other extras included a show and coloring that I remember. Overall an OK activity for dinosaurs interested kids.
This is the best Dinosaur park close to New York City and New Jersey. My kids had lots of fun and they enjoyed all the awesome events. They had lots of friendly knowledgeable staff. The parking area is in front of the main entrance. They have to pay attention to the toilet facilities very quickly. But they have lots of opportunities to make it more attractive.
This place is awesome! As a family we rewatched all of the Jurassic Park movies. This park felt similar! The dinosaurs were so realistic down to the "breathing." They had shows and events every 30 minutes or so. Both entertaining are educational. The kids got a passport book to collect stamps. They dug for fossils, played in the sand pit, and even bungee jumped. I personally loved the overlook trails. There was constant seating along the way. The concession stand and gift shops were surprisingly not overpriced. I think it was a one and done experience but it is highly recommended.
We went there today for the second time this year. The site is not huge but big enough for any Dino-loving kids. First time was a weekday in summer and they only opens on weekends now in fall, which is fine. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The show of feeding T-Rex was wonderful and we were amazed by the passion of the actors. The Dinos are vivid. I can tell some of them just got a nice make over, and some of them need one. I’m hoping for more types of dinosaurs joining in the park next year, but whether or not we will be retuned. We spent a good 1.5 hour there today. If you are planning to stay more than that, go as early as possible for more activities and event; but if you like cruising around for less than 1.5 hour, you can go 1.5 hr before close for a discounted ticket.
Park has a nice concept. My toddler enjoyed it. Food is overpriced and they closed and hour before the park did. The guy at the food stand was very nice. The employees in general were very nice. I don’t feel like it’s worth a membership tho. The bathrooms were run down and the gift shop definitely could be better!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$16–20
Completely exceeded my expectation I thought it was just going be couple dinosaurs in a raunchy place but honestly it felt like I was in Disney world all over again with my family . I loved the scavenger hunt , the staff was really nice and loved the T. rex tent a lot of activities to do with your little ones . I went when it was 100 degrees I wish they had mist or water station where you can get wet because it was extremely hot and that was disappointing. I wish the bathrooms would be cleaner as well with those few disappointments I still give it a 4 if not it would of been 5!
My sister and I took our 4, 3, & 2 year olds on a Sunday and spent about 3 hours there. The park size is great and not too overwhelming. They spent as much time as they wanted at each activity. The Dinosaurs are kind of weathered but not in bad shape. I'd have to say, staff were kind and engaging with each child, not just ours. There's a stand to buy quick bites Like burgers and fries. Food is pretty good. My only negative remark would be about the bathrooms. They were kind of gross, as my 3 year old could not stomach the smell and was actively gagging while trying to pee. I also had to use a bench to change my 4 month old at one point. All in all, it was a great outing with family.
