About

A Cultural Celebration of the Filipino-American Community

Description

The Daly City-Quezon City, Sister City Committee was founded in 1994, under the auspices of the City of Daly City’s Economic and Community Development (ECD). Primary objectives were to promote local Filipino-American businesses and to encourage other commercial ventures to bring additional business. Daly City’s population in the early 1990s also showed a sharp increase of Filipino-Americans.

So on the outside looking in, this place doesn’t look great but the food is fire. If you want a bbq skewer or some pancet get hooked up here. Great bang for your buck. I love the food here. Lumpia’s could be better. Banana overpriced. Love the food though. Always gotta find meter street parking can be annoying here. Worth it. Two entree with rice, a side of pancet & lumpia. And a skewer cause you have to! Friendly staff. Always come back.
Another American sweet sweet spot. By sweet, I mean flavor. It would be better if the food was made to order instead of sitting in trays. It has the potential to be better.Food: 2/5
No vegetarian options were available when we went but my husband got the pancit with BBQ chicken and loved it! The Maja Blanca was also delicious - thick pudding/custard made with coconut milk and corn Vegetarian options: Go early if you want to get any vegetarian items. I think the only true vegetarian items are veggie lumpia, rice and the desserts
Now, chile, I LOVE a free sample. They were so friendly. I was grateful because I had never tried Filipino food outside of potluck pancit at work. I also tried the lumpia not pictured. They prefer CASH, but accept Venmo and Zelle.Recommended dishesChicken Skewers
Best Filipino food in the Bay. Chicken and pork skewers with pancit noodles. Also an order of lumpia.!! Damn I miss living out here in the Bay Area. Food is legit.
Really yummy Filipino dish. Found this when we were in the area. To go and cash only. Love the pancit, beef rib and the skewers. I like pork skewers better. Price is reasonble. Want to order lumpia but not available because one person before us ordered 800 and still waiting for it
Needed sustenance on-the-go since I'd be driving toward Sacramento, but I never expected this low-key spot to be THIS amazing for cafeteria-style or any style, really Filipino food. If you go, be sure to get their chicken skewers, but quite honestly, you can't go wrong. Order anything, and it's bound to change your life. I ended up getting the beef kaldereta and pork asado with rice and pancit, too. It's funny how food ilicits next-level nostalgia, but I swear, that first bite into the chicken skewer brought me back to large family parties, playing tag in auntie's yard with my cousins, and a general longing for funner and simpler times. What happened to us? Well, we grew up, but our zest for great Filipino food has only gotten more refined. Fil-Am Cuisine, you guys nailed it! Gen. MacArthur said it best, but I shall return. Hopefully, by then, there will be in-door dining, but as we know, perfection has its price. For now, it's a to-go clamshell and a BBQ chicken skewer for 15 American. Kid-friendliness: Kids are allowed. Not sure why they wouldn't be. Wheelchair accessibility: First floor access.
Go for a hearty fill, with tasty lunchtime servings big enough to serve 2. Combo of pancit and freshly chargrilled bbq chicken or pork comes out to just under $9. A generous serving of nimbly-rolled lumpia Shanghai is satisfyingly crispy and savory. Amongst the top Filipino lunch counters in the Bay Area.
This place has the most delicious BBQ in the area, by far! The place is tiny, filled with smoke even the ceiling is blackened, always has a line and takes cash only, but it's well worth it! Flavorful meat made on the spot for a great price. What a gem!Dine in: NoOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: NoCurbside pickup: No
Don't be fooled by the location. Always been greeted with service with a smile! BBQ Skewers are incredible!!! Lot's of homestyle filipino dishes and comfort food! Parking is an issue but the food is worth a little walking from your veh. if needed. Check them out!Food: 5/5
