We are a Vintage & Vinyl Store
Finders Keepers opened May 1st 2011. I had a vision to open a store that housed all the treasures that were discarded by one and found by another. The store has become much more than that. It lives and breathes. It has a heart that cares and feels. This little shop has taken on a life of its own. People of all walks of life gravitate to it. Not just to buy things, but to feel things.. It brings up buried memories that aren't for sale.
I truly have passion for each item I bring through the doors and when people buy them, I feel a little piece of me leaving for a brisk moment.. I can't explain the joy I encounter when I'm out rummaging around to unearth my goods. Most of my items have history... They have been cherished in the past by a set of hands and a pair of eyes that is often unknown.
The world of Junkers is vast. I have made many new friends, that would be viewed as competition in most other fields of work, but in mine, they are alliances. The network is deep and filled with many worldly people that look out for each other.
Unlike most children that grow up in our area, I came from a family of flea marketers and rusty gold hunters. My roots are deep and my passion is deeper, in this so called "junk world". From a young age I spent my summers selling goods at flea markets with my Grand Parents and digging for treasures at garage and barn sales with my Dad. I always loved things that were old. I shopped at thrift stores for my clothes in high school before it was cool. The musty smells and dusty stores don't bother me. I pass no judgment on the surroundings of my treasures. I can feel there location speaking out to me. It's like looking for buried treasure or panning for gold nuggets.
