Fire and Ice Restaurant

Ordered Ribeye Special and Bar Room Steak. Uneven cooking for medium. The pickled onions and onion bacon jam? were good. The mashed potatoes and Gravy were yummy. We also order the Risotto which was cooked right and delicious. The Lobster Bisque was creamy with good flavor. I think the prices were too high for the steaks Not cooked right and under whelming but that's just my opinion. Parking: Loved that they had veteran spots up front.

I was disappointed that they did away with the salad bar, and the meal didn't come with a vegetable. I asked for a baked potato instead of the mashed potato. The Potato skin was a little dry, but the inside was perfect consistency. The English Cut Prime Rib Dale's way was excellent. Fire & Ice probably has the best prime rib around. The chocolate milk keeps the kids happy. There's an amazing amount of stuff to look at in the restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

Both my brother and I graduated from Middlebury College many years ago and decided to have a family dinner at Fire and Ice while visiting the school but once again, we were very disappointed with the food. We ordered the Admiral's Cut for the Prime Rib and as you can see from the picture, more than half of it was covered with fat. Even my 3 year old refused to eat any piece of the meat because it was hard to separate out the meat from fat. My father wanted to say something but I told him to let it go. However, I think the restaurant should be aware and do something about it to fix this for future customers. It's sad and unfortunate that we may never come back due to this experience.

Food was good. Not the same place without the old salad bar. They used to have the best salad bar ever which is why half of family that is vegetarian loved to go there. Now nickel and dime you. Dinner for 12 had to beg for bread, charged $4.00 for a slice of cucumber for a baby... But prime rib still the best!Food: 5/5

Interior gives very homey feel. Servers and staff are kind and quick. Food was great. Partner got the swordfish and I got the prime rib. Both were tender and good.Food: 5/5

For many years I have loved this place but went there last night 1st time since pandemic and I will never go back! NO salad bar, prices are outrageous and you get nothing extra: no salad, no sides and had to beg for rolls after hearing another table got them. They don't want to refill free refill drinks and the servers were all awful. It wasn't just ours-i observed the other ones serving tables around me. The atmosphere was uncomfortable and I couldn't wait to leave. They have absolutely lost the excellence they once had. Parking: Parking was a nightmare

This is a favorite spot for my husband and I stop on our way to and from Burlington. The service is always, the food delicious, and the ambiance is lovely, no matter which "room" we are seated in. Tonight's dinner included buffalo wings, corn chowder, a chicken bacon ranch wrap, and bourbon sirloin tips. The wrap was huge and full of chicken, not just lettuce. My husband could not get enough of the sauce for the tips. And the wings worth every cent.

It has been a while since our last visit, but the food was very good, our server Ben was great, and sitting on the outdoor deck on a nice evening no rain for once! was quite enjoyable. It is sad to see the salad bar is gone as that was a staple of this place for a long time, but it's still a good, local option for dining in the Middlebury area.

Great atmosphere. Every room is a different theme and very well decorated. Food was delicious. The Ahi Tuna is great and so were the fries and burger. Nice beer selection as well. Server was very attentive and nice. No complaints. 10/10 would recommend. They also have a children's menu
