First National Bank of Scotia

Used to have multiple business banking accounts. One of them for a income property mortgage. The manager was instructed that if there were funds needed to cover a withdrawal [mortgage payment] that funds should be transferred from the primary account [always a large balance--the bank is able to loan money out based on deposits]. Noticed on my credit report a late mortgage payment from 1st National. When I called to ask them to get the item removed from the report they refused. I now bank at Saratoga National. If you are looking for a tech friendly/people friendly service related bank 1st National is NOT it.

Awful experience with my car loan. Do NOT do business with this bank. I took out a car loan and put my payments on auto-pay. They took double payments out for about 6 MONTHS before I realized. They agreed to refund most of the extra payments and gave me the credit for the excess payments but told me the incorrect date to begin regular payments again. Because of this, I ended up with 2 "late payments" to no fault of my own. They even charged me over $140 in late fees for their mistake. I was told those late fees would be removed if I paid the loan off on time. I paid off the loan on time and in full, account was closed, and when i called to get the fees removed I was given no help. Meanwhile, the payments were figured out and caught up immediately and they still reported the "missed payments" on my credit report. After the initial loan was paid off, they began reporting the BOGUS late fees on my credit. So just to get rid of these people I paid the late fees off too. I received the lien release in the mail a few weeks later about 2 months ago. As of yesterday, my credit report now has a new "late payment" report from 1st National Bank even though my loan AND BOGUS late fees have been COMPLETELY paid off and my lien release was sent to me. I wouldn't have received a lien release if they were not. 1st National only instructed me "to dispute it through the credit bureau" and would not help me over the phone. I wanted to speak to someone who could get to the bottom of why this is still happening and nobody would help me and instead, hung up on me. I have disputed this nonsense to my credit bureau and will now warn people to NEVER USE THIS BANK.
