Very good selection of drinks and snacks but weird stuff happens on checkout. An extra dollar here and there. E.g., the register shows 27.89 but the card gets charged for 28.79. Not sure what’s going on but doesn’t seem fully legit.
They recently got a liquor license and now are basically a liquor store. A lot of their other products are gone. I liked it as a corner store and I am disappointed to see this change. Like other reviewers said I really liked it when it went under new ownership and they cleaned up and renovated the place. I just wish it had stayed in that nice state before turning into a liquor store.
This place has everything. They recently got a liquor license and now have a lot of shelf space devoted to hard alcohol but they still have infinitely better selection than most your local convenience stores. If you don’t see it out, ask. A couple times they have had what I wanted in the back and they couldn’t be nicer. Love these guys and love this place.
This used to be a neighborhood corner store where anyone around could find something they needed for a reasonable price, staff were helpful locals, and it was a service to the neighborhood. I try to avoid supporting whole foods and support the local store instead, so I went here for a few months and was a pretty loyal customer. None of the staff wear masks here and they don't care whether customers do either. They are mostly very rude to customers, accuse customers of lying when people return to the store and say "hey, this has been expired for a year" I saw that happen, and the staff pushed back A LOT about replacing a small candy item to a very polite customer. Most recently I found that a 6pack I bought as a very loyal customer was badly damaged. Didn't notice till I got home and reached for one of the broken ones. No leak in the fridge, didn't drop the 6pack on the way home. So I went back and explained the situation and asked for 2 replacements one can fell out and I threw into recycling on the way. They said: "no, no no way" about 5 times after accusing ME of dropping the 6pack and lying to them, telling me that I should have saved the other busted can and shown them, and telling me it was my fault for not checking, etc. I only went back because it was close by, and because any good store replaces something that was damaged, especially if you're a recognizable customer. I hope another store replaces this one soon.
At the moment of paying they charged me 30% extra, and when I complained they told me “that’s the new price”, and refused to give me the difference in the price back
This place has really changed under the new ownership. Great selection and great place!
This place has been under new ownership for a while now, and is a completely different store than before. It's my go-to spot for quick pickups. They have an amazing selection of beer, wine, and ice cream for such a small place. Staff is very friendly and helpful, they take card, and are receptive to feedback.
The new owners took over a shabby little corner store that was okay except the previous owners always left it cold and didn't put any money really into the store it was just a shabby little corner market and they turned it into a professional corner market with great decor lots of products and the owner all you have to do is ask him for anything or tell him you like something and you'll buy this money and he will order it for you as quickly any sufficiently as he can also if you're a regular you will know it and even sometimes he sends his guys to carry my stuff home just because great people
new ownership is very receptive to customer suggestions. Good stock for a small store. they accept credit card now. too bad the ratings are brought down by reviews from the old management; new folks are great!
Its been completely renovated, and has new owners. It’s actually a very nice corner store now with a pretty wide selection of stuff, it also has refrigerated drinks/ice cream which the previous owner never had.
