Fish Cheeks Wauwatosa

Stopped in for the first time on a Wednesday night. The server was friendly and attentive. The sushi was fresh and delicious. Great spot for a date or conversation with someone as the music is ambient. Wasn't that busy on a Wednesday, so hopefully Tosians are supporting this restaurant if they want to keep good Sushi in their community.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! This is my go to spot for all things sushi and delicious. Don't miss the amazingly inventive cocktails either!!! The owners and staff are all so knowledgeable and friendly. Don't wait to try this incredible culinary destination! I just wish I could give a higher rating than five stars!

Arrived late in the evening about 9:30. I was happy they were still open. I ordered the drink special and enjoyed the spicy salmon maki. I ate at the bar as only one other group was there this late. Service was excellent and the sushi was delicious. I really enjoyed the pickled ginger which seemed particular fresh and delicious.

Great place for a date night! I’d highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar - the chef is very skilled, lively, and fun to talk to. And the drinks are seriously delicious - fresh, bright, and well-balanced.

We started with the blistered shishito peppers which were not at all blistered and not our favorites. We got the sunset roll and dragon roll. They were good but nothing spectacular. Wine was good!

Wonderful experience! The sashimi was so fresh, the rolls beautiful and the staff very inviting.

Such splendid flavor and texture combinations! This lobster specialty roll was phenomenal.

Food is yummy, you just have to try it for yourself! The atmosphere is pretty chill but we also went when it just opened. Service is great! The sushi maker guy is a great person, making sure what he makes is goodand just adding onto the great service.

Great food and cocktails. We had a couple of small plates, 2 rolls and a few pieces of sushi, all were well made and tasty. I would personally prefer the sushi rice be a little more heavily seasoned, but overall I'd recommend this place.

We loved this place! A lovely family-run restaurant; very attentive and helpful staff. Beautiful, minimalistic decor. Wonderful appetizers - gyoza and veggie pouches were so good. Salad with avocado dressing was very good, with a very spicy dressing. We shared two rolls which were generously sized and very tasty. We are already looking forward to going back to try more of the food. The entrees all sounded delicious!
