Becky Rice was amazing to work with today. There was a mix up/incident and with no hesitation and great customer service, Becky handled it with ease. Very customer orientated and the customer service received today from the company as a whole was amazing. I knew there was a reason I always get Shell gas, at their gas station at the West end and the Wast end of Havelock, NC. This company owns many Shell/ Fuel Markets across central Eastern North Carolina. It doesn't matter what store you go into, the employees look worn out and exhausted beyond belief or working while extremely sick because they were denied for calling out. This is because the company is constantly understaffed, and is apparent by how often you can see the now hiring signs outside of one of the stores. The company is plagued by playing favoritism and discrimination runs rampant. The upper level management is immoral and unjust. The protection, health and otherwise well being of its employees is the last thing this company is concerned with. The bottom line is the only thing this company is worried about. Store Managers may wear a shirt that says manager but they have no power or authority of a manager. They are a glorified clerk that just gets the responsibility of doing the paperwork. Pay is no different, there is some assistant managers and even regular clerks that make more per hour than some of the managers do. At the lowest pay set, a manager should always make more than an assistant manager even at the assistant manager's highest pay rating/ but then again, I did mention favoritism and discrimination already. Overall the company is nothing more than an extremely greedy company only worried about their bottom line and treats it's employees like slaves or cattle. Avoid at all cost.
Great staff very friendly. I'm not a local, but I love the way they have a relationship with the people that are locals and frequent the store. Will come back for my firewood and snacks again!!
