We love Fishers Pediatrics! Heather is the best! She makes the appointment a positive experience for my daughter! Not to mention they have a prize room that my daughter looks forward to! The only bad experience we have had was when my daughter had an ear infection for over three months and we had tried several antibiotics and injections. Heather was on vacation so we had to see Allison. She did not want to give us a referral to an ENT even though my daughter had a ton of ear infections that past year. We ended seeing Heather a week later and getting an ENT referral. My daughter had her ear tubes and tonsils/adenoids removed several weeks later and hasn’t been sick since!
We love this practice. We have been going here for years with our own children and foster children we had come through our home. We have never had any issues. I think the longest we have ever waited in the lobby is ten minutes and in the room may ten minutes. I can understand others frustration with waiting but it is usually because of an issue that they are working with another patient. I have recommended this practice to many people and will continue to use to do so.
Doctors are great at this facility but the front desk and nurses who schedule appointments are very rude and getting an appointment at this facility is very painful as front desk won’t schedule any appointments but it’s the nurse who they transfer to and it always goes to voicemail and then they take forever to call back and hence you miss that day completely. I used to see doctors at other st Vincent facility before relocating and there front desk used to schedule an appointment over a phone call and such a convenient way to get an appointment. I wish all st Vincent across the state works same way when it comes to getting an appointment over a phone call
My kids have been patients here for 13 years. This practice used to be wonderful. In the last 3 years the front office staff has become horrible. My daughter has been scheduled for appointments more than once then left sitting in a room for over an hour only to be told we would have to reschedule because they could not see her. This happened last visit on January 2nd, when I called to insist they get her in I was told by Taylor she could see the caller I.D. and they consider me a problem. I then told her we would just go to urgent care. If being a problem means I should be ok with being scheduled and not being seen, leaving messages on the nurses line and not being called back, having doctors run tests on my kids and not ask me before hand is considered a problem...then yes I am. We have scheduled with a new practice today and will be moving along. Do yourself a favor and skip this practice and the office staff all together.
My kids have been going here for almost 11 years. Didn't have any problems until they switched from Riverview to St. Vincent's. I called to get my son scheduled, was rudely told there was nothing available no big deal. It was being abruptly hung up on when I had a question. Scott Boschee and Heather Gates are AMAZING. I don't care to switch, but I also do not care to be treated like I'm a burden. Taylor, I'm assuming is just a receptionist, clearly has very minimal ability to be a decent human being. Or she really just doesn't like her job.
This was an amazing office before they switched from Riverview to St. Vincent. Now you wait over an hour to get into a room; or they forget you’re there all together. You can’t make an appointment over the phone, someone has to call you back. And the people up front are super rude. It is such a shame because we love all the doctors; but St. Vincent has made this practice complete trash.
My children have been patients of Fishers Pediatric for over 10 years. I called in to have my son seen for a severely swollen eye. I was told by Taylor who is extremely rude that she only had appt for a NP. I advised her that I wanted him to be seen by the dr and she said “for a swollen eye” then she let out a sigh and told me she could get me in with a dr at 11. I called back to cancel the appointment about 5 minutes later because his eye got worse and he needed to be seen sooner. When I called back I spoke to Taylor again and asked for the office managers info she said I can take your info and give it to her. She told me she couldn’t give a number or even an extension of where I could reach the manager only the 1st name of the manager. I will be looking for a new dr office for my kids. This is NOT the first time I have been treated like this by Taylor and I shouldn’t have to beg for an appointment with a dr.
Called to get my infant in and explained the situation. He was expose to someone who we found out was tested positive for Influenza A. A couple days later he has come down with a 102 fever and a Cough. Under normal circumstances he has respiratory issues so wanted to get him in to see a Doctor. I called to get my son scheduled and was told they had nothing available. Not sure if the receptionist is having a bad day, however I did not feel valued and appreciated as a patient or a customer, it was not like this when it was operated by Riverview. Sorry to bug you guys today I won’t ever call back.
IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR CHILDREN YOU WILL NOT TAKE THEM HERE! I am new to the area and was looking for care for my two children. I came across this place. I called and made the appointment. I have two children under two. They said come in early so the records can be obtained from the other hospital with some paperwork. I came in a week early befor the appointment to fill out the paperwork. The appointment went well a week later. I was hopeful. I made a second appointment and a month later and no records obtained. The appointment scheduled turned out to be two appointments??? The doctor wouldnt come out and talk to us and the nurse had the audacity to say they did everything they could to get the records a month prior at this point and that walk in vaccine appointments were not charged. I felt so disrespected. I tried to call to figure out was was going on a VERY RUDE and ACCUSATORY nurse named Joann BERATED me saying I didnt do the right thing to get the records and sent me to office management and left a message. I tried to call office management on the press button call assistance is inaccurate sseveral times. Either its closed, or voice mail during normal business hours. I call the front desk and destiny twice has told me office management is on vaction. The one lady in office management has taken two vacations in one month. I ve left messages for the physicians of the kids and no response to the issue what so ever. We started this in June and it is now September with no resolution to this place and their unethical business practices. My children are now WAY behind on their check ups. I really hope St. Vincent will step up and in and reevaluate what they are putting their name on and also clean house a bit. This is ridiculous.
This office was great until they made the switch. It’s a shame because we love the drs here. They have 0 flexibility when it comes to you being late even if you’re within the 15min late window but when you have an appointment you’ll wait 40+ mins to be seen and it’s no big deal to them. I wouldn’t recommend using this office. It’s a giant headache. I pulled both my kids today and will be moving them to a ped within the community health network.
