From the moment we walked in the door to the moment I took my first bite of this most incredible fish dish, all my senses became alive. This specialty dish of Broiled Scod was the exact thing I was in the mood for. It not only was beautifully presented but I must say the absolute most delicious prepared fish I have had in years! The service is extremely attentive without being intrusive. The ambiance is so lovely with an old established open stone walls and wood floors. Just warm feeling of welcome with top notch food from A-Z!!
Our service was excellent! The food was an overall great value and cooked exactly as anticipated. I got the philly cheesesteak with fries, the fries were beer battered and super crispy. My husband got the crab cakes which were cooked very well with an excellent dipping sauce. My mom got the fried fish sandwich sandwich which she enjoyed and said was well worth stopping. If you're looking for a family friendly restaurant that's quick and efficient with a variety of menu options this is an excellent place to stop.
First time at The Fish Grill. The food and service were excellent. Restaurant was clean and well kept. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Especially enjoyed the crusted swordfish entree. Also we were told that they are doubling the size of the restaurant and hope to have the new dining area open later in the month. We look forward to returning in the future. :
The mussels were amazing! Should have asked for more bread for dipping! Fried mozzarella was very tasty and unique was more like sliced mozzarella balls and not sticks. Shrimp scampi was very flavorful, the only slightly negative critique was the shrimp were a tad overdone. Didn't affect the dish, but could have enhanced it to amazing!Food: 5/5
3.5 % surcharge on all credit card charges.. First time here. Not a cheap place to eat but the quality is there. In on a Tuesday at 4 PM when the dinner hour starts. Not busy so I got seated right away. Dinner comes with Soup or Salad and 2 sides. Ordered a cup of clam chowder to start. GOOD Snapper fillet Blackened ,cold slaw and Vegetable du Jour. Total $34.95 Nice piece of fish seasoned well. Cold slaw and veges were tasty. Service was very good. Long way from home but I will go back for sure.
This place surprised my husband and myself. We went a bit late probably about 10pm, they close at 11pm. The first server who saw us you could tell she didn't want us in there, but we had a gentleman approach us and unfortunately I don't recall getting his name. He was on it and way more warm and welcoming than the lady. Anyway, the food was delicious!!!! And the brought each course to the customers. I had the fresh snapper fried, it was cooked perfectly. Along with perfectly cooked fries. The pasta salad was more of a sweet slaw tasting dressing I didn't care for that. My husband had the crab cakes and it was really good too. There was a lot of herbs and chunks of crab meat. Both enrees came with 2 side and a choice of a soup or salad. The new england clam chowder is made in house I wanted more lol. I gave service a 4 star as a total, based of the 2 servers and 1 bartender we had seen. All in all, we were impressed. Parking: There is parking behind the restaurant and a door in the back to enter from.
I haven’t strayed far from beach restaurants- but a friend wanted to try this place- glad we did! We had the house special Snapper soufflé $32, and the fried shrimp dinner huge shrimp!! They came with 2 sides. The chowder side was great. They were busy but the servers did a great job of hustling to accommodate everyone. Friendly and fun wait staff- seems to be a local favorite. We will be back!
We went here due to the 5 star reviews. This place is overpriced and food we had was disgusting. New England Clam Chowder... lots of mushy potatoes; barely any clams; gel-like consistency; weird flavor. Steamers appetizer... small, shriveled, sandy clams; weird oily, garlicky broth??? Just use normal, simple clam broth please! Baked Scrod... person who ordered it said very salty. Broiled sea scallops... yucky tasting meat; definitely not fresh; drowning in oil. Fried whole belly clams... worst I've ever had. Were these clams freeze-dried or something? j/k. The size of the pieces indicate that they really are whole belly clams, but the bellies are not plump; more like shriveled. The clams were tasteless. Mixed vegetables side dish... way overcooked and drowning in the same oily, garlicky concoction they seem to use in most of the dishes. Cole Slaw side dish... okay. Sweet tea... very diluted... two people in group said it's like water plus lots of sugar. None of us finished our meals. I ate about a third of my whole belly clams... first time ever I did not finish off a clams meal, albeit they did give me a lot of clams. Attaching photo of my whole belly clams meal AFTER I stopped eating. Portions are large. Service is decent. Place is crowded. We would never come back here, nor recommend. For the price they are charging, you'd expect food quality on par with top tier restaurants.
Mahi blackened cut - Not a consistent thickness creating dry overcooked tuff presentation. Scallops ok Salads good Clam chowder ok Oysters on the half not fresh shipped in. Service Slow- Restrooms ugh.. Check your bill closely! They gave me half off on the fish filet I didn’t ask for or eat then charged me $24 for 2 cups of chowder included with the entrées. Lol - Perhaps an honest mistake Went back for breakfast the next morning. Service was excellent so was the food . Home fries mix is delicious. Pancake’s too Tiva our server ***** Stars -: The burgers are HUGEEE. Back for dinner.
Two distinct inside spaces here: a nice bar with many good TVs and high tables and a sit down restaurant space with tables and booths. The fish and chips battered steak house style potatoes was a large serving of fried fish fingers. Grouper sandwiches any way you want.
