I was recently charged 30 dollars and 40 dollars for an annual fee which I called about back in September. I was told I couldn’t get a refund for it even though my membership was supposed to be for only a month from June to July. I called about it and they said I had to come in in person and I explained I couldn’t since I am stationed outside of CA. They gave me an email which is different from the one you provided to another reviewer so that’s probably why my cancellation request didn’t go through. I was never charged for any other months which is why I assumed that the email was received. I have emailed the correct email and provided a screenshot of the original email I sent back in September. Also the man I spoke to on the phone had an attitude and hung up on me before I was even finished talking .
Horrible customer service and member support, I requested to cancel account in September. And followed up again by phone when charged in October. Charged for November now! Have emailed multiple times and spoke to manager and nothing has been resolved or credited. I have now been charged for November PLUS an annual fee for a gym that has not been used since August. If not resolved I will have to turn them into BBB. Save yourself headache and just don’t join here and go to In shape instead.
LITERALLY PAY WAY TOO MUCH for these bathrooms not to work! It’s back and forth with them working and not working. I enjoy it because the night staff is always great and amazing especially on the weekends and probably the cleanest gym I’ve visited ever!. However the taller build guy with tattoos tends to always have a mean mug face on him…..nice...doesn’t hurt to smile a little. But for the love of GOD change that music or add an up to date playlist age friendly of course. Plus I tried to visit the “CORPORATE OFFICE” with the address listed and that place doesn’t exist… nice update on your address guys. Get it together! Oh and PLEASEEEE fix that leaky roof. Is the owner that cheap to fix these simple issues??
Got a membership not long before the gym shut down because of covid. Well now, months later, I’m receiving calls that they were charging me still and that I have an account past balance. I shouldn’t have been trying to get charged even thought the gym was shut down. Calls should have gone out when first opened to see if I even wanted to continue my membership.
I currently have a membership at In-Shape and I have a friend that reccommended this gym, THANK GOD I DIDN'T SWITCH GYMS!!! After reading all the negative reviews about people's experiences, I am so happy I did not make the change. IN-SHAPE is $30 a month but never had a bad experience. DONT JOIN!!
Joined this gym because they closed Fitness Evolution in Merced 59. That was an awesome gym. Sad it's gone. Not the same vibe. Kinda sucks for some reason. Maybe the lime green paint or staff... I wasn't at all happy. So I join Planet Fitness! Saved money. The drive is longer but well worth it. Guess purple paint is better than lime green. Staff was kinda odd also.. sorry if you join...
I’m a very dissatisfied customer for many reasons. •There’s no subtitles on the TVs •It’s dirty. It honestly does not get cleaned often. You see the wads of toilet paper on the ground in the bathroom for days. The toilets have rings of filth. The gym ground has hair balls and dirt everywhere. •There’s AT LEAST once a month that the front desk employee is not there and the gym is not open on time. The manager is very rude and brushes any thing off no matter what it is whether it’s a complaint or just feedback. There’s no one to hold him accountable. •the only reason I still go is because I paid my membership in full for 15 months for the fit nation classes and they’ve gone down hill. The coaches sometimes don’t show. As of right now the only consistent one is Mariah but on her days off you can bet no one will show. •They don’t allow anyone to use the room if there’s no trainer even for those paying the extra amount for fit nation classes.
