Been a member of this gym since 2013, used personal training for a year or so as well. The trainers are great and staff is typically helpful and very friendly. Goffstown location size wise is probably fair for the population. The only real complaint I have is that the equipment is either too old that it can’t be properly maintained or there is a lack of caring. It’s a very inexpensive and affordable gym, but the equipment needs work. I’ve had a few cases where there is a concern that a serious injury could occur. Staff is great about putting signs out to show things don’t work or aren’t safe once notified, but the signs sometimes come off without the problem being properly fixed. Bathroom cleanliness is also an issue, but it’s hard to fault them for this as people can be the problem, not a lack of effort. A five star rating would be earned if the equipment was: updated or properly maintained and not falling a part in a lot of cases.
Good gym. Staff is friendly. Equipment is okay, could use a few more toys and a little more open space. They have a sled, but no way/place to use it. Good if you're an average Joe but lacking if you are a serious lifter. The Manchester location both staff and members should come and take note of proper gym cleanliness and etiquette.
For the price it is a good gym. It has a good amount of free weights and equipment. Seems like they have a good amount of classes, although I haven't done any yet. Over the last year or so it has improved, especially since the re-branding. The biggest negative in my opinion is that repairs need to be made to equipment on regular basis and they don't do a daily check to fix small stuff before it becomes a bigger problem. Low battery was showing on machine in rear corner for months. Brought it up to staff and never fixed. Screws missing on foot pad for rowing machine upstairs, never fixed. I actually bought and installed screws myself. But it is back to missing two screws. Minor preventative maintenance can go a long way to avoid larger expense and breakdowns later. I get certain things break, but simple repairs should be done timely.
I also had an issue with canceling my membership. I signed up earlier this summer and at that time was never told the cancellation policy. I knew I was moving 90 minutes away in November . Had I been informed that I couldn't cancel any time I wouldn't have signed up. As I moved in with my significant other I had no proof of address in writing. He pays all the utilities. I sent them a copy of my car registration and that wasn't good enough. I had to go get a new driver's license in order to cancel. It was a huge inconvenience and as it took me time to do this because I had to take time off work I have to pay yet another month in addition to a cancellation fee. Your representatives need to be more upfront when someone signs up about the cancellation policy. I did sigh yes it was an electronic signature on a credit machine. I may not have specifically read the fine print on the machine. You may have mailed me info after the fact . All I'm saying is the attendant should explain to the customers that it is a one year commitment and canceling is not a user friendly action. Some times it takes a few months to get addresses changed on things when you move. The DMV accepted my car registration as proof of address I just think for policy is unreasonable. Just leaves the customers feeling like your trying to get additional money out of people. Its not like I will travel 90 minutes to go there. I moved the beginning of November.
Signed up in late Aug 2018 and in October I am still loving it. I mostly use the Goffstown NH location but also occasionally use the Manchester NH location as well. Both locations offer more than what I need for weight equipment as well as cardio. The Manchester location is a bit more modern and up to date with equipment but that stands to reason since it is a much busier location than Goffstown. I prefer the Goffstown location since it is less busy at the times I like to go but it also offers a level of privacy I enjoy. I can easily get a chance at any machines and weight stations I need with very little if any wait. Another big plus to FITLAB over any other local gym is the free group classes. Yoga, cardio kick boxing, Zumba, self-defense classes, and many other classes are available in multiple locations at various times throughout the day. For the extra money FITLAB costs over the "free pizza gym" you can recoup all that plus much more by attending one or two free classes a month. I can also mention the juice bars, free baby sitting, saunas, free tanning, etc. but how long do you really want my review to be? If you have any questions about FITLAB stop in and sign up for the free trial period. It's gotta be worth your time. IT'S FREE after all. What do you have to lose? Thanks to Eric, Oliver, the personal training crews, and staff for always available for any issues or questions. Looking forward to meeting my goals with you all at my side.
I would not recommend this gym to a friend, look else where before wasting your money at fit lab. The goffstown location is extremely small and doesnt offer much. Also be aware that once you sign up they have you in a contract and WILL NOT let you out of it. They are rude if you try to cancel all they care about is the money, this place is a racket. Management doesn't keep up with the place, they will take your money and your left wondering where it goes.
Don't know what more you could ask for in a gym. This renovated location is legit! As a Milford local, I am stoked. Say good bye to overpriced gyms where you pay for stuff you don’t want you use. Here, there’s multiple squat racks, cardio machines and a group X fitness room. Very happy to call this my gym.
Goffstown is a great gym. Equipment is great and exactly what you need. Everything is very straight forward and the staff is always super friendly. Best part is that you never have to wait for equipment.
Great gym. loved their facilities and always seemed to have the equipment I needed. Saunas in the bathroom were great at the end of a workout. Definitely would recommend to anyone in the area.
