Five Oaks Academy is a wonderful school and a fabulous place to work. This is my daughter's first official school experience and it has been nothing but amazing. She is excited to come to school every day, she feels loved and supported and she loves her teachers. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a first class Montessori Education.
We feel very fortunate that our children attend this school. Every aspect of Five Oaks Academy is first class. Five Oaks Academy has an excellent reputation in the Montessori Community and beyond. I would highly recommend FOA to any parent who is looking for an outstanding education for their child.
Our two daughters attend Five Oaks Academy and love it. Their teachers love our girls and they are so kind and nurturing. They continue to foster a sense of creativity, independence, grit, compassion and love for learning that has been amazing to see. We love the community, teachers and administration at FOA. My husndand and I would highly recommend Five Oaks to anyone looking for a school.
Five Oaks Academy is a wonderful school that focuses not only on a child's academic growth, but their social and emotional well-being. This is my 4th year as a teacher at Five Oaks Academy and I am proud to be employed there! I truly look forward to coming to work each and every day due to the positivity and support of the entire faculty.
I have four children who have all attended Five Oaks Academy. The faculty and administration care for each child as if they were their own. I could not imagine a better environment for a child to thrive while learning. I would not hesitate to recommend Five Oaks to my friends and family.
This has been the most rewarding educational experience for our family. Our girls attended from primary through 8th grade. From the moment we first stepped onto the campus, we have loved it! The teachers are dedicated and communicative, easy to work with and love the children. They have become life-long learners, have always loved to attend school, and they are independent, out-of-the-box thinkers. The middle school is the best! They learned organizational and motivational skills second to none. The perseverance and dedication they were taught has proven essential to their success. We could not be happier with our choice of sending our children to Five Oaks Academy.
Unfortunately, our review has been reduced further from our original review due to the school taking down our initial review posted on their facebook page. Apparently they don't want the public to know what REALLY is going on over there. Our daughter is 3 and a half and we wanted her to get a great education from a reputable Montessori School. We searched online and read many reviews. We chose and contacted FOA because they were the closest to our home at the time. Initially we were very excited. They give the impression they are a high end school that our children would get the best care in. Well in the first 2 weeks of school A LOT happened we weren't too happy about, but tried speaking to the teachers first. this also wasn't our first school experience, she did attend another preschool the year prior, it was not Montessori though. They could not or would not remind the children to collect their stuff before heading to the playground, which we thought was a little excessive being that they are 3 and it's the first 2 weeks of a new school and routine- but the worst part was, after we mentioned it to them, their suggestion was to just leave the stuff at home which, prior to this we were told to bring in. She came home with scratches on her face, told us she was pushed down by other children which they dismissed as an accident because our daughter did not report it right away-the second day of school, had ripped clothing-but the worst was the skid marks. After the first time the teachers told us they would help her. After the 2nd time the tune changed and they said they would not help her. What? She's 3 for goodness sakes! That is the straw that broke the camel's back for us. If they can't take the minute or 2 to help a 3 year old child adequately clean her bottom after a BM then we do not have the desire to continue attending the school. That's unacceptable in our book. They never seemed to know what's going on. They expect a child to come in as self sufficient as a teenager. Luckily, not all Montessori schools are the same, and we did find a much better, extremely caring, Montessori school we were able to get her into last minute. We found out our daughter didn't like the school either-which is a 360 from the way she feels about her new school. I would never recommend FOA, and knowing now they removed ALL reviews from their facebook page in order to hide ours, we lowered our review to 1 star instead of the 3 we gave them initially. Look around, there are other, better, options!
The teachers are very interested in the academic and social development of the children.
