I went in for a DOT physical as a walk in. Usually when people do that they have a long wait ahead of them. They got me right in and I was done, start to finish in under an hour. Front desk is friendly and professional. Healthcare providers were courteous, attentive and listened to my needs. I will definitely be going back. I wish I could give them 10 stars.
It was a holiday and I felt very sick. I went to the Well Now urgent care. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and told they could see me without an appointment. I was immediately taken into room with a very professional and experienced Medical Assist. And PA . I was out and able to pick up my medicine at the pharmacy in less then a hour.
The medical care has always been acceptable. The problem is getting to the medical care. On my last visit before today, it took 15 minutes per person just to get checked in and there was a long line. Once I was checked in, I was almost immediately called to an exam room and my medical issue was addressed quickly. Out in 10 minutes. Today, I walk in to see 2 other people in the waiting area. This time I am checked in more quickly and I have a seat. It took 20 minutes of personal observation to finally realize there were another additional 9 people sitting in cars in the parking lot that we’re checked in ahead of me. The desk employees should be more forthcoming about how many people are waiting. I didn’t have possibly multiple hours at this time to spend on this issue. I wouldn’t have even checked in had the waiting area been full.
just had the worst experience ever specifically with the receptionists. I had to bring my sister in, she's a college student with sever mental health issues including anxiety and ptsd. she tries her best to be independent so she was the one speaking to the front desk. we had problems with our insurance coming up inactive even though she had just used it yesterday. she got on the phone with our provider who confirmed our insurance was active and something wrong was happening on their end but when repeating back what the provider had told us we were met with resistance and attitude. this began to trigger a panic attack. now I understand being a receptionist is an overwhelming job, I work in the veterinary field so I've witnessed first hand. it was like they didn't want to help us at all. my sister was clearly in distress, scratching her skin until it bled, but they continued to be rude. we got our mom on the phone to talk to them bc my sister couldn't handle it anymore. they were resistant about speaking to our mom but once they did they corrected the error and got us in... this was an hour long process and the whole time my sister was in physical pain and mentally in distress... on a more positive note the doctor was incredibly kind, helpful, and a great listener.
Don’t waste your time like I did. Go elsewhere. The doctor won’t do a thorough exam but will claim that she sees no reason for antibiotics as she stares at my jaw swollen from a swollen lymph node. Lol unreal. I’ve dealt with this before and got prescribed antibiotics which knocked it out. She knows it all though smh.
My local emergency room had a 5 hour wait so I decided to leave and go to wellnow. I had never been and didn't really know what to expect. All I can say is wow, they have wonderful service! I was seen within 5 or 10 minutes of arriving and was tested for multiple sicknesses so quickly and efficiently. Everyone was so kind and friendly, especially the PA Lydia. They made the whole experience so quick and easy, I will definitely be coming back next time I need to and recommending this place to friends!
Brought my 7 year old to WellNow in Fairmount for an earache after I couldn’t get an appointment with her PCP. Front desk staff was efficient and very friendly. We were taken quickly taken to a room and only waited about 5 minutes before the provider came in. He was very nice, great with my daughter, and got us in and out. We were there for maybe 25 minutes, start to finish.
I went to Fairmount office and the people and doctors are very nice. I had 9am appointment and I was in and out in no time. Very clean too I will be back.
Brought in my 3 year old for a covid test and everyone was so friendly. The receptionist that answered the phone was funny, the nurse that did the test was awesome and the doctor came in the room like a ball of sunshine!! He was nervous and then ended up laughing - it was probably the best experience I’ve had at an urgent care!!!
i’m a travel agent and when things started opening up in mid to late 2021, I went to our local WellNow for the tests required in order to travel. The online booking was super easy, there was no wait because they scheduled them incrementally, staff was fantastic, and I recommend them to all of my clients that live in the central New York area and beyond. Test results were back the same day. We will be back again.
