I wuz here 2day 2 watch Oppenheimer . . First time at a movie theater in years. Impossible to improve on the experience. Heated and cooled seats with widely spaced rows. Seats recline as well. Top notch sound system and picture quality. Was clean and well staffed. Long line for food cleared up with a very brief wait. They really know what they are doing over there.
This is my favorite theater in Maine, the seats are heated and power recline. Super comfy. The prices are really good, all sodas have free refills, and they offer a veteran and senior discount on tickets. The people are always friendly. The only thing that could be improved is the floor around the soda fountains is always SUPER sticky and the bathroom stalls have a LOT of obscene graffiti and are usually only moderately clean.
Nicely remodeled. We enjoyed the heated recliners. It was great for my sore back! Concession lines were pretty slow moving and food areas for soda and popcorn butter needed to be taken care of. This was during peak hours though.
My husband and I went to see Indiana Jones tonight, the lobby was filthy, popcorn everywhere, soda cans all over the floor, the ladies room was filthy as well. I will go to Augusta, or skowhegan next time. The movie was great. The cinema was a disgusting mess,
I took my 4 year old granddaughter to see The Little Mermaid. We went on a Wednesday and had the whole theater to ourselves! We laughed, clapped and danced during the credits. It was an awesome time!!
Sound of Freedom was very good. Misty has amazing customer service skills and makes the experience well worth it. She makes you feel valued.
The staff is nice. They just need more support. Some citizens of Waterville are pigs so we had to wait until only a couple minutes before the scheduled time because a single worker was cleaning out the theater. Because we were permitted from entering the theater, a large line formed in the hallway, which has to be a fire hazard. By the time our movie ended and we left the theater the pigs of Waterville had already covered the theater floor with cups candy boxes and popcorn. I was stepping over garbage after the room has just been cleaned only two hours earlier. If the management values their staff they should hire more people on to help clean. They do their best and they do get the place clean, but it takes up a lot of time and totally fills the trash cans in the hallways. The trashes were literally overflowing. Until the locals become less gross you’ll need more staff to help clean. Visuals 10/ Audio 10
The movie was great but we froze because they blast the ac. Even with hoodies on her legs were freezing. And she was wearing jeans! How cold does it need to be before we just say the hell with it and wait for movies to come out on DVD
The theater itself was and included heated recliners. The bathrooms and lobby were kept clean and orderly. The popcorn is not fresh and comes pre bagged before dumping into their containers. Caught an employee filling from a large plastic bag it in between shows However they have self serve butter which is wonderful for butter lovers. They offer meal options like fries and chicken strips. These sound lovely but are oven baked and were burnt to a crisp black around the edges Tickets for a standard evening movie for one are well above 9$ for a 2D Movie. They charge 5$ for a single cup if your looking for a free cup to fill up with water with your popcorn, you'll be disappointed. They have an annual popcorn bucket which is a great price saver if you are and avid movie watcher. Their large popcorn is under 8$ before tax, and allows 1 free refill which is wonderful if you have a big group/family or would like to bring some home after the movie. For a single person buying a movie and large popcorn you will spend over 20$ with tax. if your looking to wash that popcorn down youll want to bring 40$ to be safe as it's well over 35$ and close to that price with tax included. For a couple, you'd likely be looking at closer to 40-50$ if you share a drink and popcorn. Fairly expensive, but the theaters include heated recliners which were clean and are very comfortable. Much better price point than regal cinemas in Augusta, which also offers the heated recliner option. I would recommend the Farmington movie theater or skowhegan movie theater if you're looking to save money, don't care about recliners, and would like to avoid big crowds. All in all would return again if I was looking to spend a large bit of money and wanted to recline to watch a movie.
Great service, clean seats and theater. Crisp picture. Clean bathroom. Asked for extra bags to split popcorn between kiddos and they gave us more than we asked for.
