I was recommended to check out this place by my close friend, and when I walked in, it's already very busy, even so I still get professional help after I went near the check out counter. I was blown away by the 3D scanning, It's 1st time in my life did this while shopping for shoes, it let the staff have more ideas what kind of shoes to suggest me. High Tech. Friendly . Patient. Knowledgeable. I feel like I came out of a foot clinic but it didn't break the bank. Fleet Feet didn't charge me for the 3D scanning and consulting fee. In the future I only want to take a train ride from San Francisco to Fleet Fleet to get shoes. It was so fun.
Wonderful store! They helped me find great shoes for my feet which are difficult to fit and they also helped me sort out a refund. I was overcharged in a genuine mistake and the way that they worked with me to make it right was extremely honest. Would definitely return and recommend to any other runner!
I like the personalized service. Jim and Menlo Park is fantastic. First time I met Eileen and she was great too — the staff is so professional and friendly and really cares about getting the right shoe for you. Product wise I like that the store has a wide variety of clothes and shoes and all the accessories. And if they don’t have your size, they will order it, and it will be delivered to the store or to you personally. I recommend Fleet Feet to everyone. Thank you, Gina
We had a bit of a wait but I thought the foot measurements were worth it. The service people were very nice and knowledgeable. The young lady helping me was impressive. Good luck to her on her college aps!
Quick review. There are several things I will never buy online: furniture, clothes, and shoes. Whenever I need running shoes, Fleet Feet is my go to place. I used to go to their shop in Santa Rosa and was thrilled to find one in Menlo Park. The salesman asked a few questions, came back with two styles; I ended buying both without having to try on countless others. Spot on!
Overall, the customer service was great. My wife & I both came here to get running shoes. My wife has enjoyed her shoes but mine have been subpar. First, the staff uses some tech to get some quantitative information about your feet. This seemed cool but I realized how it was overvalued. I may have warn a shoe 1/2 size smaller than I should have but their data said it was a full size. I said the shoe was great but it felt tooo big & they insisted that was normal. They had my wife convinced too. So I settle on their recommendation as this is their expertise. Second, they have a generous return policy but in my case it didn’t workout. I got the shoes for running outside. It was raining a lot this year so it took a couple of weeks before I could really test them out. Then, the shoes were a completely different fit so I figured there would be an adjustment period. I found my foot would ache in the shoes & the amount of lift I could get was insufficient. It just felt my toes were positioned too far back. After three months, it never got better. Eventually, I randomly shifted back to my old running shoe & my foot barely ached. I also felt like I got better lift. It was my fault not using their generous 60-day return policy earlier but they were pretty convincing saying “you need to be a full size up!”. They’re the experts so I figured I was a bit insane. Nevertheless, a rule of thumb: Dont just trust the quantitative data, take in the qualitative data. If you tell a customer they’ve been running in a shoe on size too small but they never complained that their toes were crammed, maybe the quantitative data is a touch off. While my experience here is a bit disappointing, my wife got a running shoe she’s VERY happy with. So there’s that.
I and my family have been buying running gear at Fleet Feet for many years. The store has a wide selection, friendly and knowledgeable employees who take the time to listen and make an effort to put you in the most appropriate gear especially shoes. We highly recommend it.
Wonderful service. Very knowledgeable staff; friendly and relaxed style without being pressuring. Great running shoes and running apparel as well. Appreciate the assessment technology to look at foot-striking patterns too. Love this store.
This is basically the perfect athletic shoe store. The staff are extremely knowledgeable- they’re all distance runners from what I can tell, which means they understand the nuances of these shoes. No pushing sales, just advice in a low pressure environment. Great inventory. Price is same as direct from brand online from what I saw. MAJOR benefit: they let you try the shoes for 60 days. You need to return in near new condition, but they let you wear them OUTSIDE. That’s a key differentiator that other places simply don’t offer. That means they’re super confident in their assessment and advice and they guarantee their client experience. All of the aforementioned makes them the best place to buy athletic shoes in on the peninsula.
This is a great place to get fitted for athletic shoes. They take the time to evaluate your feet, gait and needs and help you find the right brand, size and model. They can help serious runners, like they did with my kids, or people like me who walk and hike on a more casual basis. They are friendly and professional. I'm so happy we have them as part of our downtown
