This place is a must visit! The store has a lot of Amish made merchandise, a restaurant, and it's also a convenience station, a one stop shop. The food is delicious! Make sure you try the famous chief burger and fresh cut fries for your first visit, and you will see why it's called famous! And yes they serve breakfast too:
Nifty little place to stop on your trip. Beautiful furniture and Amish made home goods, as well as food items. I wish I had had the time to order hot food. I would agree that the restrooms need sprucing up, but all in all it is well-maintained.
Lots of unique eats, crafts and furniture to buy. Most of it is made locally nearby. We indulged in the sweet candies. The fries are homemade and I want to come back here for lunch. They sale gasoline also. Stop by and pick out a unique gift.
Would like to give more stars cause they had pretty good food and excellent ice cream. Bought home canned hot peppers. Husband said they were hot!! And he eats scorpion and ghost peppers. Also found Cheddar cheese powder Only problem was the bathrooms were filthy and you could tell it had been awhile since it was cleaned
The burgers and home cut fries were delicious. There are definitely Amish touches, furnishings, and hand made items to purchase, but this isn’t a full Amish run store as I expected. I will be back to visit.
Last summer my cousin stopped here on her way home from Branson, bringing me some delicious items crafted in the Amish community. I decided to drive down and replenish some items that I loved from my cousins visit. OMG, this place is awesome. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Decided to try their famous Chief burger for lunch with handcut fries and mozzarella sticks. It was AWESOME!! The patty was fresh and cooked to perfection, fries were amazing as well along with the mozzarella sticks which had the creamiest cheese on the inside. Freaking Fantastic! If you get the chance, stop in and enjoy something delicious. I can't wait to go back.
We made our first, but not last, visit here today. It may be Amish owned, but not run and staffed by them. Still worth trying, though. You place your order with the cashier right after entering. The menu is handwritten on the wall. Surprisingly, they have several items to choose from. We were here for lunch, but they also serve breakfast and dinner. They are known for their cheeseburgers, so that's what we tried. Very good. I enjoyed the fries, too. The onion rings were nothing special. The interior is spotless. The staff is hometown friendly. Overall, a nice experience.
I would give it 6 stars if I could. Got the chief burger with cheddar and my wife got the cowboy burger. Reminded me of a burger joint I ate at as a kid in CA and brought all the memories back. Juicy, flavorful, burger, perfectly crispy tater tots. Fresh ingredients and a high quality, warm bun. Super friendly service and a delightful down home atmosphere. This is my new go-to in the area for a high quality, reasonably priced, amazing burger. I need to come back for breakfast sometime! Y'all are awesome!
This is a hometown lunch counter/gas station/Amish goods store. Do not expect a hostess or table service! But you can expect the best fresh hamburger in the Ozarks! The fries are cut fresh too! Well worth making a special trip.Food: 5/5
Been here a few times now. Chief burger is excellent, along with the onion rings, fried mushrooms and fries. They have a jalapeño relish that is very tasty; you may also buy it by the jar. Quite a number of Amish packaged foods and crafts. Woodworking benches, tables and swings outside, reasonably priced. Kid-friendliness: It's a restaurant and store combines, plus have ice cream. No problems with children in the store. Parking: If you go at lunch time, you may have to drive around the lot, but we've always found a spot. Motorcycle friendly.
