They are amazing. We used Flooring Connections to remodel our kitchen and two bathrooms. Christina McGee coordinated everything. She was incredible. This was all done while we were in Los Angeles. Christina kept us posted on how the work was going and sent photos so we could see the progress. We highly recommend them.
Service and communication were fantastic; office staff is helpful and friendly. We had wood floors refinished and they look far better than we anticipated. Would highly recommend and will return for any additional flooring needs we may have.
EDITED Feb 2021: Since my initial review, we needed to replace most of our Home Depot LVT flooring, which had peaked up all over, and looked dreadful. We interviewed FIVE different flooring contractors in this area, and this place Flooring Connections had hands-down the best pricing - about half the price of the highest estimate - for the same product! They also were able to install our new LVT without removing any of the baseboards, because the new flooring was slightly thinner - this saved us a ton of money and hassle. In addition, the service they provided was over-the-top - I don't think I've ever encountered better customer service on a home improvement project. They were fast, reliable, and did an amazing job with the installation. We initially had trouble rounding up enough of our selected flooring which had just been discontinued, so they called all over, including the manufacturer in Canada, and managed to get enough for our project. Our neighbor had used them too, and said they were good - but I had no idea they would be so amazing!!!
Flooring Connections came into our home as a subcontractor hired by our general contractor to do some prep work on the subfloor and install engineered wood flooring in our basement. They weren’t even going to moisture test our concrete subfloor until we insisted, and then used a makeshift method that the flooring manufacturer would not accept. They did a poor job of leveling the subfloor, resulting in dips well outside of the manufacturer’s tolerance. Workers were late, rude, and arrived unprepared for the job one worker unboxed a brand-new saw in our driveway and damaged several flooring pieces during install. Flooring Connections management inspected the site and declined to acknowledge or fix the issues and are refusing to reimburse us for the thousands of dollars we later spent to fix the problems. After we provided a report from an independent NWFACP-certified flooring inspector, Flooring Connections offered to pay less than half of our expenses, yet somehow still insisted they stood by their work. Ultimately, the liability for the work lies with our general contractor, who we have been fighting with for the last 9+ months to make this situation right. But, we are posting this review in case it’s helpful to other homeowners. If you must hire Flooring Connections, make sure you are knowledgeable about the installation requirements for the flooring you choose and give close supervision of the entire project, because Flooring Connections has not shown that they will complete jobs in a professional manner or fix their mistakes.
I challenged Flooring Connections with less than a month to install new carpet in our two guest rooms. They totally came through for us! Angus is an excellent salesperson and is really helpful and easy to work with. Michael did our install and he did an amazing job! We are really happy with the outcome!
The owner came out to look at a bathroom floor repair. Then second person came out and measured. At this point we thought they were on board to handle it. Then 3 months went by while we left 7 voice messages with no returns. Finally installer called back and basically accosted me on the phone. Said they weren't going to do it and gave me another contractors phone number. Needless to say we moved on. Unbelievable service/response.
Our experience with Flooring Connections Inc. in Anacortes, WA was outstanding. Each visit to the their store was pleasant and the staff was helpful and responsive. We had a bit of an unusual install with an under-floor radiant heated home having both carpeted and floating hardwood floor finishes. The Flooring Connections team of Julia, Steve, Roman, Reynaldo, and Sally were personable, professional, and flexible to serve our needs. We would work with them again and highly recommend them.
We had new floor covering installed in our bathrooms and bedrooms. We ordered a vanity cabinet and countertop at the same time so the installation could be coordinated. Flooring Connections lost our cabinet order leaving us with a guest bathroom with no vanity. Coordination between the floor covering and cabinet department seems nonexistent. Instead of the flexible molding we ordered, they installed a bead of colored sealant at the bathtub that will likely not allow for thermal expansion. Having practiced architecture for more than forty years, I know the importance of good customer service from suppliers and subcontractors. That is clearly not what we received.
