Very grateful for FCSO. I called and requested a welfare check on my Mother as I was unable to reach her at her home. I live 112 miles from her, I recently had surgery and was not cleared to drive at all. The Officer that took my call at 9 PM, was very cordial, then transferred me to Operator 31. I gave Operator 31 my information, and explained my request to have a Sheriff's Deputy ride by and check her residence. Op31 was cordial and detail oriented, and said someone would check. Just as the Officer arrived at my Mother's addressabout 15 minutes time, Mom called me. The Officer did not leave before talking to Mom, she said he was very kind, and glad she was OK. Thanks for the FCSO dedication to citizens in need.
Very unprofessional why does it seem they hired every nerd who was stuffed in a locker throughout high school. Disgusting the walk around with a job.
Worst county jail in South Carolina! Everyone needs to be drug tested. No proper training due to desperation. This jail needs DHEC to inspect the kitchens and facility as a whole. No running water in the laundry restroom at all. No pest control! Mice, Rats, Snakes & Spiders everywhere. This facility will fail! Mold and less precautions for covid. Mistreatment of inmates. Effingham is a very dark place. So bad the higher ranking officers doesn't know how to operate a diffibulater
Deaf gentleman 78 years old on vacation from another state broke down at a gas station in Florence, South Carolina. An officer assisted him in calling a tow truck and took the time to learn how to say" have a nice day" in sign language. Thank you, for taking time and going the extra mile!
My review is about the detention center. I understand there has to be rules ,obviously people are there for breaking the law,however is it a must to be so disrespectful and rude to family members of inmates? We havnt done anything but call and try to get information or visit our loved one. These correctional officers are very very rude. We cant help what our children,husbands,brothers etc have done. You guys could definitely use some work in this area and stop letting the little bit of authority you have go to your heads.I could never work that job and be cruel to a crying mother who is just calling about there child. I hope a person in charge sees these reviews and make some positive changes.
I was parked at the Dollar General and a Dollar General truck parked right up us as soon as me and my Uncle went to leave and my mom was parked beside me. She was bringing me my check and we went in bought a drink until she pulled up. When the truck parked right up on us I asked if he had room for us to get out and a deputy sheriff pulled up in the back of the truck. Then let the truck move which there was room that the deputy could have pulled around but he parked where there dashcam couldnt pick it up. The deputy then gets out calls me over and asks for my id and no one else that was driving and walked off without telling me what was going on and would not give a name or badge number. But only checked my id. I had trouble years ago nothing major and there was no way I could have been yelling because the truck driver had his window up and the deputy was not even in the parking lot at the time that any of this should have happened. So he took my id ran it which I have no warrants or anything outstanding so it was no worried but it never should have come to that and I should have got his name and he should have checked everyone else. This felt like he targeted me because of my age and since I got my paycheck from her bought her cigarettes and gave her change he used it at a excuse. To try to say I was doing wrong and he never said I did anything until he walked off and said I yelled which would have been impossible for him to know he wasnt even pulled up by then. Then ran my license walked off and still never gave me a badge number or name. He made me feel like I did something wrong and quite frankly I was worried about my safety because there was no cameras to catch any of this and he was really rude to me. This was at Dollar General on the way to Effingham and when we can a back to florence a deputy and another cop was sitting at am in church. If this was an excuse to search me, which I had no rights to show my license without a charge because I was not driving a vehicle I technically had no obligation to do anything until I was told what I did wrong. He made it feel like a pure harassment that I don't understand. I am so scared to go.to.wprk.now that I took off because he made it seem he was just trying to find a reason to cause an issue with me and I have changed my life. I give my tithes and offerings and spend an hour or 2 a day with my lord and I pay it forward by helping people daily just to be treated like garbage and not even get to.be treated human when I wasn't even the one that should be check. There is no way anyway heard me yell because he was there the only thing said was why cant he back on in and let the customers out. I have managed businesses for every and we never made customers wait even in the parking lot. So this happened between 1200 and 1pm and you can find out who because they say at Elim church doing nothing else at all for a while I sat there and watched wondering if they were looking for someone but he could have explained that too. So thank you to florence County for making me feel like I have become another common criminal even though my life belongs to the Lord. Luckily he handles people that abuses power but I will always have a name and badge before my license shows up in their hands. I will also be making this known that to.others that the vehicle was parked with no dash cam.recording and no lights on and more than likely no body cam which I do want to know because no one heard yelling at anyone so I want the truth and whether I was targeted even if a lawyer needs to see. This hurts my feeling because I believe in paying it forward and helping people and I support local law enforcement I have 2 family members that are deputies now and it is hard work but it is work that shouldn't be abused. If I dont get a reply to the email I am.sending I will make sure someone comes and gets the name and badge number and make sure what was recorded by personal phones and what's seems to be no police cameras. This place is awful! Due to the "official" Kenney Boone being arrested for embezzlement...for stealing money from prison funds. The inmates are now getting slop for breakfast and a sandwich for lunch and dinner. No staff to cook..just inmates! Then all library books. Guess he took that money as well. Now entire women's pod has been on lockdown for 9 days due to "laundry" issues. Wonder if they locked down laundry inmates as well! No control. That's what's called "the fox that "guarded " the hen house!
I've been complaining about the noise ordinance violation in my neighborhood for over 3 years and yet every day Monday through Saturday I get woken up at 6-7 am to them using nail guns, saws, etc.
Need more training on respecting peoples rights. Plus bad service.
