I have been at this office for about a year and a half. At my last appointment, I walk into the patient room only to find a paper on the wall that says the Dr. Martinez is no longer working at the office. I was shocked! I had no idea. On that day, I saw a nurse practitioner. Since then, my appointment has been rescheduled three times. Sadly, this office is going downhill and for my health, it will be a necessity to find a new Rheumatologist. Do NOT make this office your Rheumatologist!
I waited 2 1/2 months to get into see a doctor at this practice. They rescheduled my appointment because Dr. Martinez is no longer with the practice. I showed up for my scheduled appointment and they told me they can’t see me because I did not answer my phone to confirm the day before. I was working and did not get a message until after office hours. I managed a medical practice for 10 years and never canceled a patient’s appointment because they didn’t answer the phone to confirm. The receptionist was not polite or kind at all. She went to get the manager but the manager wouldn’t even come out to talk to me. She made her receptionist do her bidding. This is a very poorly managed practice. I’m sad because Dr. Martinez was supposedly the best.
The staff is always friendly and professional. Dr. Martinez is a gem! He takes his time and truly cares about the whole patient, not just the disease he's treating you for. I have never felt rushed or talked down to, he's patient and understanding. I'm so thankful to have found him!
I was a patient here for 4 years. I've had a couple of different insurances with no issues. This year I started Medicare with Part C, UnitedHealth Care. I get a phone call today saying they don't accept my insurance and they are dropping me and find another Rheumatologist. This stinks on so many levels, and it is wrong. Nothing good to say about Florida Arthritis anymore. Now I gotta start all over. SMH.
The staff in front ALL Women has been very rude to me, I don't know why. Today I got hung up on 4xs and then a few days ago another Hispanic lady was arguing with me about things they needed that was out of my control. Who needs that type of stress in their life.
Everything was good until Dr Jose Martinez left the practice-been waiting for my appointment for the last 8 months they called to cancel 3 times already- staff, new Dr, and PA all need to go terrible no control on schedules.gave it a one star but honestly they don’t deserve a star Rude and very unprofessional staff!!
Dr. Jose Martinez is a pure joy to see! His bedside manner is impeccable. He is a Wonderful listener & very knowledgeable, even when dealing with a rare genetic disorders, & complex medical conditions. I would highly recommend him. I have been a nurse since 1997 and have dealt with allot of Dr.'s personally & professionally and doctors like himespecially nowadays are a rare gem!
I don’t post reviews ever, but thought it was important to let people know how amazing Dr. Martinez is. I have had up and downs for two years health wise, and shrugged off by drs form hospitals or specials to general practitioners. He came into the room and sat down with me for over an hour, and he listened to everything i said. Not once did he just shrug what I had to say off, make me feel crazy, or disregard the thought without an explanation. I have never had a DR take so much time to try and help me. He leaves you feeling hopeful and really puts effort into helping you. Not only he is a good Dr. but his personality alone is incredible. Hands down one of the best dr/people around. Would 100% recommend. Also, a bonus his staff is amazing and helpful. They have helped me numerous times with zero frustration with my tons of questions. Great place!
The doctor is either not interested in taking on new patients or he is unaware that his scheduler is not doing their job. Waiting 6 weeks, still no call back despite biweekly inquiry calls to the office. "We are not taking new patients" is a better option than the breathtaking arrogance of setting hurting people to ignore
So far had great experience, doctor was detailed to the point. I think you have to go in to this with open mind that this doctors job is to prevent the body from attacking its self. I so far have loved my experience, the front desk team is AMAZING, big shout out to McKinsey. You are a great receptionist! Looking forward to my continued care.
