The mission of the Florida Barber Academy is to prepare students to become excellent licensed become excellent licensed Barber/Stylist and Cosmetologist.

We further strive to help our students grow and develop as individuals to become happy and productive members of their families and communities.

My teacher Ms Davis gave me all the tool I needed to succeed in class..all the administrators where attentive to my need and they all played a valuable part in my passing of the state board test.
This school is outstanding thanks to Imán Davis. A fine, very knowledgeable, and passionate instructor. Making Learning enjoyable and great experience to the students. Her professionalism is outstanding and the school should give her the recognition she deserves. Many students wouldn’t be as successful without her guidance. Come on by to get a cut from the students or come and have a tour of the school if you wish you succeed in the barber industry!
I love this school my teacher Mrs Anisha is the best the full specialist program has taught me so much so far I recommend anyone to sign up to further there education
I like the..."All of the Above"! My name is Alicia Rooks, former student for "Barber Stylist". I am proud to say that on Saturday, June 12th, I took my "State Exam", and was so excited to know that I "PASSED". I knew I would especially feeling comfortable after the extra help that Ms. Davis gave to assure so. Not only did she take time out to prep Monday - Wednesday, a week prior to my exam she made herself available to cater to my schedule to help me. I really admire her commitment, and dedication in loving what she does, and the concern for the students and being VERY thorough in her teaching! Thanks again Ms. Davis, your "method" of "prepping" is the best!!!
I had a wonderful experience at this school. Not only did classmates become family, but all the staff members from reception, administration, instructors were all very helpful. Ms. Allison was great helping me with all the final preparations for my state board. Just would like to say thank you to all that have made this experience a memorable one!! 5 stars all the way!!
Barber student currently. If you want to start this course at night, you want to learn and look for options to improve your future, do not do it here, we spoke several times to the main directives students to change our teacher since we had problems there was no teaching, theory or any learning about it and did nothing. For this reason, many of the students do not return or leave the night schedule, they attend school when they want, I kept waiting for them to say that there were going to be changes in the school to improve and they never did, other than that I paid with my own money the course which I am doing and I did not have the right to be transferred from school. Apart from that, I was a victim of theft of school supplies, theft of money and credit cards in my own classroom and nobody solved anything, I told them what happened to me and I did not receive any help from the school. They will hold an eyelash course for school students and people who want to enroll from outside and I personally was denied receiving it because I am a barber student. When it said in the announcement "current students are welcome" I never understood the reason or the reason why I can't do it. I don't think that's an impediment to be able to specialize in beauty courses, that's why I say that it's not worth studying in this school where it's not worth wanting to get ahead, because they show more interest in money than in the future or the process. of each student, it is not worth expressing yourself and talking because you waste money and time! I expected much more and was only disappointed!
I had a great experience at this school from the front desk to the lady's cleaning the bathroom always kind always willing to help. Me. Alison was a great help with the finishing part of everything walking me threw step by step and explaining everything to the tee. She help guide me in the right direction. Mr. Rodriguez was a great instructor with out his guidance things would of been really hard out here but he is a great teacher.
Great experience! Learning hands-on from knowledgeable teachers provided an excellent real-world environment to perfect my trade. The Student Services Director, Allison, was invaluable in completing the lengthy process of signing up and completing all state requirements.
My experience was amazing because Ms.Davis was very thorough in preparing us for the state board. Because of her zoom classes I was able to pass the test relatively easy
