ZERO STARS… my mom has stage 3 colon cancer… this place has been nothing but trash from the beginning. Trash office staff without a doubt.. originally started with them wanting to postpone her diagnosis 2 weeks! They wanted to delay telling her what cancer she has and to what extent!! Always getting an “overbooked” excuse and just recently failed to obtains approval from Insurance for a chemo session. ZERO compassion for patients.
I want to thank the entire staff. I have been going to FCS Lake Mary for almost 3 years. I am truly blessed to have such an incredible support care team. I would highly recommend FCS.
I agree with the other poor reviews. The clinic staff has Charlie, a gruff nurse who can't wear her mask correctly despite working in a clinic. Rest of clinic staff was fine enough with Annamarie being the most helpful. I was in for something small and saw Dr. Dietrich. He left the room saying he'd be right back and 20 minutes later I wandered into the hall feeling forgotten...because apparently I was. I was directed to the clinic for treatment, all was fine there. Never saw the doc again. When leaving, they tried billing for procedures not performed and ultimately corrected. They were supposed to call with the next appointments but despite 2 businesses days, they did not. I called Monday, left messages and got no call back. Called again Tuesday and got someone who said that despite my treatment plan saying twice per week and having spots held that they were full. They asked if I could do the following week. I told them I don't have the qualifications to alter my treatment plan. They checked with the doctor and voila some spots opened up. Went in for my appt. and waited an hour before treatment. They didn't call to tell me to come in late, so I waited. The communication is poor and if I was in need of longer term treatment I would seek out a different facility.
Awesome state of the art facility. The doctors offices and chemo treatment center is on the 2nd floor and radiology is done on the 1st floor CT and PET. Yesterday I had a CT scan done quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend Dr. Melgen and this facility.
I am very disappointed with this facility. They don’t want to show you your scans and test results. They are all about getting that money. I feel they take advantage of very sick people and don’t care. Every time I’ve gone it’s been a different story. Never clear and concise. I really feel bad for the patients that go here. I will definitely no longer go here. Run don’t walk away from this money scam
I called to leave a message to Ms Lauren and the front desk Ms Chelsey kept asking me for my dad’s date of birth, I couldn’t remember the year and she refused to send the PA a message to call me. She was RUDE & COLD HEARTED NO EMPATHY for the PT’s family. She needs to be more caring & sympathetic.
I wish I could use negative stars. The staff will tell you that wait times will be 1.5 to 2 hours. My insurance was billed for thousands for unnecessary tests and they were trying to schedule more. When I said I was done and just wanted my records, they kept trying to pin me into a room. My regular physician told me that they said I was willing to self administer a vitamin shot. That conversation never happened. Terrible experience.
***UPDATE*** I am going to leave my original post up because it is how I was feeling when I was a patient in the waiting room. However, less than 24 hours later, D’net with the customer care department called me to address my concerns that she saw on this website. She was incredibly kind and very helpful in explaining what was going on and what they are doing already to fix this problem because it is very well known amongst their team. She also Made helpful scheduling recommendations that may alleviate some of the wait times. Overall, I am not complaining about the care. My doctor, Dr. Melgen, is fantastic. However, time is very precious and it is the one thing we cannot get back. So, D’net thank you for addressing my concerns and for that I make this update! ——————————— Original Post: What on earth is your scheduling department doing? I am currently sitting in the waiting room. It has been 1 hr and 36 minutes since my scheduled appointment time. “He should be with you soon.” That’s all I have heard. People have lives and time is very precious in your business and yet, here we sit. This is the worst patient experience I have ever had ... schedule for the amount of patients you can see not for the amount of money you’d like to see.
My mother is a regular patient at this location. She has been sick with the flu for an entire week. Tonight she came home and told me that she came in today to pay a payment and when she did she became very dizzy. She asked the nurse could she take her blood pressure and when the nurse asked the doctor if she could the Doctor told her no she had to make an appointment for that. FOR A BLOOD PRESSURE!!!! My mother ended up driving home dizzy and sick. Not a happy daughter right now.
1st it took me a week to make an appointment because they needed time to assign me a doctor..second, I had to provide my info more than 3 times because they always had the incorrect address and phone for me then blamed me because they called the wrong number. I been waiting more than an hour and other patients in the waiting area are complaining about the same finding me a new specialist ASAP!
