Florida Finest. This state trooper was in front of me from Jupiter to Port St. Lucie. As a watched him and others drive I must say “I’ve never seen a more patient law enforcement officer with the idiots on the road.” I have no idea how you’ll do it…to include most driver have no respect and don’t move over that just are like oblivious to a trooper behind or next them like this tough guy.
Today I bore witness to a saddening event. A state trooper pulled me over today ILLEGALLY!! As I was driving with my daughter I pulled along side this trooper. When alongside him I knew exactly what he was doing and told my daughter that he was running the guys plate. Not more than 10 seconds the trooper was now behind me at a consistent rate of follow. I knew he was now running my plates. As soon as I saw him in my rear view lights came on. What this trooper did was and is 100% illegal!!!!! The funniest part was when he had to let me go b/c everything was 100% legal!! Sadly disappointing.
I just want to say that your State Police and Road Rangers are top notche! I am from Indiana and was traveling with 6 family members, when my vehicle broke down. We were struggling to get to a place so that we could regroup and get a vehicle and finish our road trip to from Osceola county at mile marker 224.5 to Boynton Beach. Long story short, we were able to get the car towed to the dealership, and two State Troopers and a a Road Ranger picked us up and transported us to the nearest service plaza. We could not be more grateful as it was getting dark and was going to storm. We finally got to our destination, but it would not have happened of it wasn't for their kindness! We would have been treated like criminals back home.
Thank you to the officers working SE429 through Apopka on July 24th. They had 2 rock transporting trucks pulled over and 2 more officers parked and ready. Too often these trucks are seen speeding along the freeway with rocks coming out of their beds. Thank you for the extra enforcement- it’s a tough job with very little appreciation!
Terrible experience. Got rear ended at a traffic light and FHP was not available! After waiting 5 hours! a dispatcher informed me of filing a self-crash report form and sending all the pictures I have of the accident. I am so shocked of this type of service. A department is not available for a simple police report. Apparently, I'm not the only one.... WOW
This review is for officer Simpson. My family and I were in the area on vacation when our rental vehicle got a flat tire with no spare. Officer Simpson was on the scene immediately and went above and beyond to make sure my family with three small children were safe after Enterprise left us stranded on the shoulder of highway 4 for hours. We need more officers in this country like patrolman Simpson! This man is a true life saver and everyone should take some notes out of his book.
If I could give this people a 0 rating I would. Was involved in a car accident 2 weeks ago. Had to wait over 4 hours for a trooper to show up and now I have been waiting over 2 weeks for the report to come out. Have called multiple time and the answer I get is “ the supervisor hasn’t approved the report yet they are busy assisting the troopers outside of the office. The system is a joke! I have been without car for two weeks and can’t fix it because my report hasn’t been released yet. Worst service ever.
Why are FHP phones unmanned? Thats CRAZY! YOU don't work banking hours. FHP is a public service. We are the public. WHERE is the service? What is WRONG with you people?
I was in a motorcycle accident in November. I was taken to the hospital before the officer arrived. The only witness left at the scene, by the time he got there, was the driver of the other vehicle. Because they said I ran a stop sign, he wrote me a citation. Never once asked me anything about the incident. In fact, the other driver ran their stop sign. In his official police report, he states that the other driver did not have a stop sign. This is false, I have pictures to prove it. He also states that I was on a one way street. Also false, I have pictures to prove it. Many other mistakes. These people are incompetent, and should learn how to do an accurate investigation.
The moto Serve and Protect does not apply for the Florida Highway Patrol or maybe they just don’t stand for anything. I’ve lived in 4 different states and have NEVER experienced such unprofessional behavior from a police department. My elderly parents were involved in a car accident last night in Kissimmee Florida, the accident happened at 4:30 in the afternoon. We waited for over 6 hours for an officer and nothing. I Spoke to dispatch at least 4 times. I dealt with a very aggressive and rude operator who hang up on my face because I mentioned her bad attitude during the call. The Florida Highway Patrol needs to urgently revisit their public safety and service training. I have family members who are police officers ranking all the way up to police chief, and I am sad to say my level of respect for the Florida Highway Patrol has dropped to almost zero. Hopefully the higher up’s will take notice of these beyond negative incidents, take action by conducting more affective training. Hope all officers have a safe day!!
