The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind is Florida's only fully accredited public school for eligible pre-K through 12th grade students who are deaf/hard-of-hearing or blind/visually impaired.
To provide a customized educational experience at no cost to eligible students in a caring, safe and unique learning environment. We endeavor to prepare them to be literate, employable, and independent lifelong learners.

The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) shares news and information with interested stakeholders via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, and other social media accounts. FSDB offers these as resources in a limited public forum for teachers, students, parents and legal guardians, staff members, and others within and connected with the School.
FSDB encourages user comments and dialogue on its social media accounts, and monitors these on a continuous basis. The School reserves the right to remove any and all comments that are deemed inappropriate and in violation of the following expectations:

• Comments shall not be offensive, obscene, abusive, or explicit in nature.
• Comments shall not serve as an attack against any person or group.
• Comments shall not promote illegal activity or violate copyright law.
• Comments shall not promote or oppose any person or party, including individuals campaigning for political office.
• Comments shall not promote commercial services or companies.
• Comments shall relate directly to the topic at hand, and shall not contain false information.
• Questions or complaints shall be sent via email or web comment form to the appropriate School representative.
The State of Florida has a very broad public records law. Accordingly, the entire content of each of the School’s social media accounts, including user comments and identifying information, are subject to the public records law.
