Flossie’s offers booth space lease available to local vendors looking to increase their income or promote their products, and an estate or goods liquidation service. Because of Flossie’s variety of goods available, quaint location, and unique style, patrons will range from every age and attract both local and tourist trade. Flossie’s specially designed patio area and restored circa 1915 house setting offers a relaxing stroll with its displays and a memorable experience destined to be repeated. Owned, operated and managed by Di Ann Allen, Flossie’s offers a personal, fresh, approach to shopping, collection enthusiast, and the art of resale.
Flossie Allen is a local Athenian. She is a mother and grandmother of two beautiful grandsons’, a lifelong collector herself, Flossie, at the age of 55 decided to embark on a new business adventure. With her family’s support she began selling items she had purchased from Estate Sales and finds from either garage sales or flea markets and the like on line. After two years of selling items on EBay, she decided to leave her secretary job of sixteen years, and decided to pursue her dream of owning and operating a resale shop. After finding the perfect location and working tirelessly for months, Flossie’s became a reality.
Marketing of Flossie’s will consist of Facebook postings, hosting events such as Athens Chamber of Commerce After Hours, Century Link directory, as well as Google Listing, and Athens Daily Review. Word Of Mouth and including contact information on all receipts and signage. Flossie’s Grand Opening event will be April 25-27, 2013. At this event she has invited a group of 115 Getaway Gal’s and will feature the All of Us dip, cheese ball, soup and muffin mix line, and patio décor.
Flossie’s Resale Shop is in a central location with heavy traffic, conveniently accessible parking lot, with popular neighboring eating establishments. A well know bakery, florist, and photography studio are all within walking distance.
