Came into the ER at 10:30pm for my husband, got a CT at 12:50am it’s currently 2:40am haven’t gotten any type of update or anything. Got blood work done, got a covid test panel for safe measures over an hour & a half ago & no update. Finally called out and they seemed bothered to answer the call light saying “ Did you mean to put your light on what’d you need” first of all that’s not how you answer a call light, second I’ve been watching you guys sit at the nurses station just chit chatting away. They don’t seem like they care for patients in the right way. When we first got to ER they had opened the cabinet which I’m showing you in the picture & they’ve never seemed to notice or care that it’s still unlocked & opened. Now I know working in the hospital that you can’t leave those open because they have needles & stuff in there. My husbands blood pressure was up to 149/99 & heart rate 114 told the nurse because they haven’t been coming in & checking up on us she goes “I’ve seen higher” ummm that’s not normal though & you being a nurse should know plus he told you he’s not normally high what so ever, shouldn’t that be somewhat concerning just laying in a bed not moving with a blood pressure & heart rate that high? Flower Hospital ER is ridiculous, unorganised & not professional what so ever. Nurses need to be better. Will choose not to come to flower again for care.
I'm on Chemo and am really sick so I went to the emergency room because I couldn't handle another painful night. They didn't take blood, yet there's blood on the floor and in the bed. A man with anxiety came in after me, was seen first. Was talked to the whole two hours I waited for a covid test. They didn't take my temp right, it was hardly touching my skin, they dismissed high blood pressure, they dismissed keytones in urine, they REFUSED A BLOOD TEST, I REPEAT. They didn't give me a blanket when it was so cold my fingers were blue and I was shivering. They gave me half a cup of water and refused to give me fluids although they said I was dehydrated, their reason was that I "can still drink" when mind you, my tonsils are swollen and obviously I'm not doing a good enough job hydrating myself. They took two hours for a covid test. And again, blood on the floor. Doctor was uncaring and terrible bedside manner and a worker wearing a "blue lives matter" shirt, wouldn't even talk to me to tell me where the exit is. She just hatefully stared at my Indigenous a-s-s. This is the second time I've had a horrible dismissive experience here and being trans, poc, gay, and atheist- yeah they very clearly want people like me dead so.
Had a brief stay here recently and I'm greatly satisfied with the care I received. A+ Excellent care, kind and pleasant nurses & reputable M.Ds, sterile and spacious rooms with a lovely view. Once you're well enough to enjoy it **A big shoutout to Evan who was a friendly and knowledgeable nurse during my stay. Thanks again for pushing for my pain control, my dude!
Brought my six month old son in tonight with a high fever and throwing up. Should have known better and went to Toledo. We waiting forever to be seen they did advise at check in it would be a wait but we were already there finally get taken back to a room just to do some more waiting. No one checked in on him nothing. Finally registration showed up and at this point I was already packing my son up to leave as his fever broke and decided to go elsewhere. Meanwhile most of the staff was walking around just following each other. Have been to flower countless times and have never experienced what I did tonight. Especially with a sick 6 month old.
The staff in radiology, the ER and on the 6th floor was absolutely amazing! Took great care of me and listened! The radiology tech was the best! I didn't get her name but I am so thankful she was my tech!
Came in Saturday morning with a gall bladder attack. I had surgery Sunday morning to remove gall bladder. I can home Sunday afternoon. I was impressed with ALL of the staff. Very professional, very kind, very caring. You ALL make a big difference in our lives. I really appreciate you taking care of me and getting me back on my feet. Thank you for ALL of your hard work. It doesn't get unnoticed
I came in with my son who didn't eat for 22 days and waited for 3hrs in the ER waiting room. We left and went to Toledo. I told myself I'd never return to a hospital where people stand around talking not working. So I came here again in a hurry I was taken back right away but have sat in the room for going on 3 hours. I tried to ask if someone could tell me what is happening but the nurse at the nurse station close to room 20 told me very rude and hung up the call light "WE ARE BUSY." I too work medical I have family who works medical why can every other place do their jobs prompt but flower can't keep up just takes their times stands around the nurse station eating, talking, so on. That's who you hire? You need better nurses the doctors and practitioners on it running around getting it done. The ladies standing around chatting bye fired. Retrain. Anything.
Absolutely love this hospital! All the nurses and Doctors I've had the privilege to meet have been so amazing. Your health matters here, they truly care for their patients.
I would like to thank Scott, Jon, Anette, Nora, Rachel, Lisa and Morgan for taking the best of care of me while I had surgery. I was given respect and comfort. Dr. Filatoff and Dr. Witt are also the best . Thank you again to all that were involved.
Best experience I’ve had a a hospital in years! I’m “that patient “ if something is going to go wrong, it goes wrong for me, as a Nurse, I hold all medical professionals to high standards, and this hospital’s outpatient surgery department was A-1 5 star excellence! So happy I requested my procedure there!
