Custom floral designs for weddings and special events. Serving Iowa and parts of Illinois. My love for nature and all things green stems from growing up in Montana. I love being outdoors and in nature. After I graduated high school I decided I wanted to study horticulture. I took a tour of Ricks College (now known as Brigham Young University – Idaho) and as I stepped into the Floral Design classroom I knew that’s what I was going to be doing for the rest of my life. I’ve been designing ever since. Do you need a degree to design flowers? No, but I’m the nerd who wanted to learn as much as I could about them. I have lived in Montana, Idaho, Ecuador, Utah, and New York, each place I’ve lived in has given me new inspirations in my designs. My husband and I have 4 wonderful energetic children and we have decided to plant roots in South East Iowa. I work out of my floral studio in the country with the dreams and plans of being able to grow some of the flowers I work with. I am frequently asked what my favorite flower is, and I honestly can’t answer that question. It’s like asking a musician their favorite note. Each flower and greenery has a special attribute and sound to bring to each arrangement. I love working with Brides (and Grooms) and clients with special events to achieve a custom design tailored to each client’s style and needs. With the variation of color and texture, lush blooms, gorgeous greens, and trailing vines the possibilities are endless!
