The Floyd County Sheriff's Department is comprised of several divisions that provide 24-7, 365 service to the citizens of Floyd County, Indiana.
Patrol Division:
The Floyd County Police serve and protect Floyd County, Indiana 24 hours a day, 365 days a week. FCPD answers thousands of calls for assistance every month and respond to several different types of incidents in the community while maintaining a high level of professionalism and dedication to the residents of Floyd County.
Investigations:
The Floyd County Criminal Investigations Division is a group of detectives assigned to investigate crimes within Floyd County. The detectives take cases to the next level by talking to witnesses, gathering intelligence, and collecting evidence for trials.
Corrections Division:
Floyd County Corrections and Jail Division provides officers and staffing for the Floyd County Courts and Jail. The Floyd County Jail is a 234 bed facility that houses pre-trial detainees and some convicted state offenders. Comprised with Corrections Officers, Medical Staffing, and Civil Process Officers, Floyd County Corrections is one of the largest divisions of the Floyd County Sheriff's Department.

Our communications center handles thousands of calls a week for emergency police, fire, and medical services for Floyd County, Indiana.
