If I could do more than 5 stars I would. Flying biscuit is the best. The biscuits are immaculate. Sarah our server was fantastic and so friendly. I love going here with friends. There are no bad items on the menu. The pancake tacos are great and the pimento cheese fritters are otherworldly. Must go stop in Raleigh whenever I visit.Food: 5/5
It there a way to overly hype up a place? I was greeted and sat quickly. We ordered ALOT of food. The loaded chips, the banana pudding pancakes, strawberry stuffed French toast, acai Bowl, and some drinks. Y'all, when I saw these banana pudding pancakes will change your life, I'm not kidding. I've never had a more delicious pancake in my entire life. They were fluffy and packed with flavor! The strawberry stuffed French toast is sweet and delicious! The chips are heavenly! I can't accurately describe how good the chips were! 10/10 highly recommend! This location has a full liquid license so you aren't restricted to standard mimosas and bloody Mary's at your brunch outing, order to your hearts content. I highly recommend giving this place a try, whether it's breakfast for dinner, actual dinner, or a brunch outing, they have what you are looking for!
An amazing spot for breakfast, with a bar, indoor seating, and outdoor seating in abundance. Their biscuits are incredible. Even in you're not a biscuit person. Friendly service. The coffee is good. I got the Hollywood omlete made from egg whites with extra vegetables added and a side of fruit. They're very accommodating. The inside is lovely, if a bit loud when it's super busy. Would love to come back. Vegetarian options: Veggie omletes, scrambles, and meal alternatives available.
To preface, I am not a huge breakfast person. My husband however is. We went after a flight to Raleigh and let me tell you, I’d give this place 100 stars if I could. The food was out of this world! The biscuits are the best biscuits I have ever had in my life and don’t even get me started in their grits. We will be back, I’m already craving their food and I’m excited to try more from their menu!
Stopped by for breakfast on a recent trip to Raleigh. Atmosphere, service and food were all great. Would have given it a higher rating but the peaches on the oatmeal pancake seemed to have come right out of a jar or can instead of being a compote like I was expecting.Food: 4/5
Nice spot for breakfast! This was our first time trying out the Flying Biscuit Cafe. We were very pleased. It's near the same series of shops with the Harris Teeter. We arrived right around 930am so parking wasn't too bad at all. It did get busier as the day progressed, but it the staff was on top of it. We sat outside which was nice. We didn't see inside, so I can't speak to how things are in there. The weather was good, so outside seating ended up being perfect. Our food was tasty! The biscuits, of course, were delicious! I loved the apple/cranberry topping! The Mrs. got an egg and cheese biscuit. She enjoyed that and was happy. We loved the coffee as well. I got pancakes and grits. The grits were amazing. I've never had grits like this, and was pleasantly surprised. They were very creamy and I wanted more lol. The pancakes were not my favorite. It was a paradox. They were tough to cut up, but we're fluffy otherwise? Weird to describe. I know many people love them, but I could take or leave them. All in all, fantastic spot! We'll come back to try new things.
The food was delicious, the atmosphere was good. Busy area with plenty of things around. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and macaroni and cheese side dish. Good place to go out and enjoy.Food: 5/5
This place never disappoints! I’ve been going here since high school and the quality has never wavered! Today I got the strawberry anglaise stuffed french toast breakfast and the hubby got the piedmont omelette and a mini shrimp and grits. Always quick, friendly service and excellent food. Btw their fried chicken dinner with spicy collards is to die for too.
She'd been goin' on and on about this place since shortly after Valentine's Day. I have to tell you, I should definitely have believed the hype, and so should you. We arrived at the Flying Biscuit Café, Sunday at 11:40 am. There was an estimated 90 minute wait, but including the time it took to get on the list, we were seated within 45 minutes. I can't comment on the interior, because I never went in. Outdoor seating was what one would expect. The tables were canopied, for which I was thankful, because it was hot, and Sol wasn't taking any prisoners that day. She ordered a "Tastes Just Like Candy" which literally consisted of cotton candy and alcohol. It did taste good, but it was fun watching it occur. I caught some video of it. But the real magic happened in the kitchen because I tell you what, the first biscuit that came out was so buttery, light and fluffy, I was amazed. These are how biscuits should be. They were light, fluffy, just dense enough to hold a topping, and so wonderfully moist! She'd ordered the Meggxican Wrap, while I'd ordered the Oh My Grits Bowl w/ chorizo & salmon, and all the vegetables; and a short stack of Banana Pudding Pancakes to share. The food was so good I'm not even going to bother describing it. All the love went into making these dishes, and presenting them before us. We ate our fill and had enough for another meal later in the day. I would absolutely recommend you seek out this experience. I am wondering whether I'll manage to avoid visiting tFBC at least once per trip to Raleigh. The odds aren't favorable. Parking: It's a shopping center. While there are many spaces, this restaurant and the ones nearby are very popular, so parking is sparse.
We came Father’s Day Sunday for brunch. We were able to sit in the bar area at the high tops without a wait. Service was quick for drinks and to take our order. The servers were attentive. The kitchen was slow and the food was average. The restaurant was quite loud. It was an okay experience. I like the many Bloody Mary options.Food: 3/5
