This flying J is above the average. Building and amenties are clean and recent. But the lot is a mess with locals taking it for a lot where they can leave their trucks for the week-end. Please get them towed!!!
Clean place plenty of washers and dryers 8 dryers and 8 washers all of them working . Store clerk are friendly and helpful very well stocked . Bathrooms very well kept and clean
Very clean. They have a huge inventory. Pretty much anything that you would need or want. No waiting in line. Very fast cashiers.
Typical Truck stop, friendlyish clerks, clean showers and bathrooms. Food and store items are extremely overpriced, the price to pay for a parking spot for a break I guess…If you make it in before all the free spaces are taken. I do like that parking reservations can be made online.
Thumbs up for Matt. I was in the Store looking for Butter. Couldn't find any. He went out of his way to go and check the Fridge where it is supposed to be. Turned out there was one pot left in the Top Shelf, but too high to see it. He went up and got it for me. Thanks for showing good Customer service skills.
Didn't see much i was in and out pretty fast but i definitely wanted check it out next time I drive past it and love that there's a Dennys in side of there and hopefully the food is good.
Stay here instead of the one in Gary. It's much better. Trust me, you'll be glad you did. Tons of parking. 17 showers! Large drivers lounge. Large public laundry. Stop through here from time to time an have overnighted and made use of their facilities. Never had any complaints. Friendly staff, place has always been reasonably clean and of course if you're heading west, fuel prices are way lower than they're gonna be one you get to Illinois. So you'd better fill up here.
The young African American female with glasses working the early shift on Sunday between 5:40 A M. and 6:00 A.M 5-28-23, is the absolute worst. I went to her register twice and both times she didn't utter a single word. Nothing...I thanked her both times and she still said nothing and just walked away after the transaction. She clearly doesn't want to be there and she shouldn't be allowed to work the register. There are plenty of people that need jobs that have great attitudes. The Spanish lady with the glasses is phenomenal though, and engaging she was not working at this time or I would have waited just for her customer service. She knows how to do customer service!
The truck stop isn't bad. However don't I repeat Do NOT eat at the Denny's. The staff is terrible and the food is the worst. The cooks couldn't cook for McDonald's if their lives depended on it. The eggs were overcooked, the hash browns were undercooked and whatever they tried to pass off as country gravy was just freakin NASTY. And the customer service is worse. This Denny's is the absolute worst place I've ever eaten at.
Do not come here unless you have to!! Store is closed due to remodeling truck drivers can not use the restroom get fuel or shower very unprofessional should put signs out on the pump
