Food for Thought helps shelters, rescues, and other animal nonprofits adopt more animal-friendly menu policies for their sponsored events.
Food for Thought is a program of Animal Place designed to help organizations like yours adopt an animal-friendly menu policy for their sponsored events.
In addition to dogs and cats, your shelter may rescue other animals - farmed animals - like rabbits, horses, goats, sheep, and chickens. Like every good shelter, you strive to find forever homes for the animals you save, and yet farmed animals may still be served up as the main course at your official functions.
The Food for Thought campaign can help align your organization’s menu with its mission by adopting a formal policy regarding the types of food it serves … or doesn’t serve! To many people, rabbits, horses, goats, sheep, and chickens are companions too, equally worthy of compassion and respect.
