Food Lion

I had an issue here with a cashier not bagging my groceries. I sent an email and got a call from a manager. She was very lovely and explained to me that she would speak with the cashier. I really like the fact that there isn’t a self check out that they force you on to and everyone is so nice. Every time I’ve gone to deli, the people working there are always so helpful and nice. Always give the best suggestions. Never had an issue finding anything.

Great local market for normal people who lile quality food at a good price. Yeah, Harris Teeter is just up the road but so is you wallet too when you shop there. This store is clean, the selection is pretty good, and the service is spectacular.

My favorite Food Lion. Friendly staff. Great health selections. I visit here regularly. Highly recommended.

It looks very dated and very little selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Good for a quick pit stop as it is usually not so busy. On the plus side it does take Apple pay.

The Food Lion here in Scaggsville has had a complete makeover. It's more organized and much easier to navigate. They no longer have the small meat and fresh fish counter but a much larger, well stocked set of prepackaged meat and fish counters. The store is brighter, more airy and open. Nice job, Food Lion! By the way, they still have some of the nicest folks working there so enjoy a "new" shopping experience. Update 08-17-2023 They have done a great job of keeping the "new store" fresh and clean. This store still has the nicest group of employees which shows great leadership. Kudos to the store manager. Thanks for being a great neighborhood store!

Don't realize til I get home that my soda is way expired. No self checkouts so you gotta wait in a long line. Bad selection.

Demerits for trash in the parking lot! I moved away and stopped by after a long absence, I don’t think it’s been cleaned up since I left. It was trashed then and the lot and woods are full of trash now. Very bad optics for a nice store!

Clean. Convenient. Employees are nice and helpful

They don't have self checkout which is what I usually prefer but I love their hot wing bar and fried chicken. The deli counter staff does a great job keeping everything fresh. I always get a pound of bologna sliced thin when I'm there.

Good store but looks like a third world country outside in the landscaping and parking lot. So much trash!! Especially in the shrubbery. Clean it up and maybe people will feel more comfortable shopping there
