One of the best places to get lunch in the area. They have delicious subs as well as pizza in the summer they have cookouts for lunch were they offer many grilled offerings, I couldn't recommend them enough
Nice selection of food. Since a small independent grocery, prices are higher. The negative is the attitude of the staff. From the deli counter to the cashier they seem annoyed that they need to wait on customers. Observed by me and another shopper on multiple occasions - why???
I go here weekly. I enjoy their ready to eat foods from the deli chicken kabobs, turkey meatballs, spanakopita, garlic green beans, curry chicken salad, apple basil chicken salad just to name a few. Staff is also very friendly. I do wish they were open on the weekend.
Not many people know of this place but this one has a very good quality of veggies and groceries, especially a range of cream sodas and they also have great take away options ranging from salads to sandwiches, all great quality. This place deserves more market share in Squirrel Hill.
Their 2 dollar cheese pizza is my go-to for a quick meal. Where else can I find this delicious and cheap meal?! Gem in the neighborhood
About as classic a deli as I’ve ever seen in Pittsburgh. Really good MTO sandwiches, fresh produce, and an entire deli smorgasbords behind the glass, with everything from potato salad to chicken kabobs priced by the pound. Best of all, the prices are really reasonable. I was expecting gourmet/specialty deli prices, but nothing is much more than what you would pay at the supermarket. Super friendly people; this is a deli lover’s dream.
The outdoor grill was fantastic and the cold cuts are excellent
I love this shop. They are now having the Grill open 4 hot dogs and other items on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The shop has been there for quite a while, but it's so well-rounded and they offer some really nice choices and I highly recommend you stop by.
Wonderful neighborhood market and deli. Featuring a large selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, home made meals ready to take, and all the essentials. The sandwiches are a great deal, the daily special is always top notch and during the warm months the outdoor grill is the way to go.
I accidentally stumbled upon this gem recently. Walked in stressed from the day, rushing to a late job needing to grab a quick bite. As the door swung closed behind me I found my jaw drop so far my mask almost fell off. Three wonderfully happy and busy employees greeted me separately as I made my way through the small corner shop. Quality, love, passion, intention was glowing from every corner of this place. As what looked like the owner came by to ask me if I needed any help I almost gave him a hug as if he was my favorite Uncle. Overwhelmed and realizing I was almost late for work I sadly asked for two slices of pizza knowing I was missing out on the gold mine around me. As I walked down the side walk to my car I couldn’t tell if it was tears of joy or rain dripping down my cheeks as I almost died after each bite. I give this slice of pie a 9.2 out of 10. On my drive to my job I was running the numbers in my head. How can I move to this neighborhood so I can walk to this dream of a corner shop every day? Do I sell my house and both cars? Should I sell all my belongings? Realizing I’m just a poor father from the outskirts of Pittsburgh I quickly got over myself and accepted the fact that I don’t deserve such fine shopping. I deserve 5 guys, Wendy’s, and Little Caesars. I deserve rotten over priced produce from Shop n Save and Giant Eagle. A man can only dream...
