The Library is a student-focused place offering access to information resources, services, and instruction.
The Library offers a rich collection of information resources in print and online to support the college’s curriculum in basic skills, transfer, and career/workforce preparation. Resources include approximately 90,000 books, 200 print periodical subscriptions, 325 DVDs (housed in the Media Center), and a reserve collection of high-demand textbooks. The Library is also the gateway to e-books, online encyclopedias, thousands of periodicals in a variety of databases, art images, streaming educational videos, and NoodleBib, a citation assistance and instruction tool.
The mission of the Foothill College Library is to support and collaborate with all academic and other student support programs of the College in providing excellent education for all of our students, whether in basic skills, workforce preparation, or transfer. The Library promotes student learning, retention, and success by striving to meet the evolving information needs of an increasingly technology-based global community.
