The Academy is FREE OF CHARGE to sixty (60) participants ages 8 yrs - 15yrs based on the application that is required. You can pick up an application from the Clarksburg Police Dept and it must be returned ASAP. Forms that are filled out incorrectly or incompletely will be discarded, so double check the forms before submitting them. They may be returned by mail, fax or hand delivered to the Clarksburg Police Dept c/o Sgt. D.W. Messenger.
The Academy will be held at the former Gore Middle School, now the Harrison County Alternative Learning Center.
The Junior Police Academy will be divided into two groups:
Ages 8 - 11 will attend July 11-15th.
Ages 12-15 will attend July 25-29th.
Both Academies' will run from 8:00am to 4:00 pm
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE PICKED UP NO LATER THAN 5:00 PM.
Snacks and lunch will be provided daily.
Our mission is to educate children about law enforcement and give kids a respect for the law and teach them about being a upstanding citizen.
