Being healthy and happy isn't easy. If it was, the world would be free of disease and stress. Being healthy and happy takes work. And it's not the same formula for everyone.
In 2012, being tired and stressed and having a number of symptoms that didn't add up for me - not the least of which was a failing memory and extreme fatigue - I went to my doctor and insisted he check my hormone levels. The result? I was the proud owner of dysfunctional thyroid gland. My underactive thyroid turned out to be due to Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, an autoimmune disorder that causes just that very problem.
Being a stay-at-home mom and wife to a wonderful, hard-working husband, I had no time to be fatigued! Sure, medication helps immensely, but what else could I do to help my body repair and recover?
I sought out the help of a Health Coach and together we discovered what optimal health is for me.
The whole experience made me want to help others, too. So in 2015 I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to become a health coach. Since then my focus has been on helping women discover their true health through not just diet and exercise, but quality of life choices.
