Randal S. Forbes served as Pastor of Helmer United Methodist Church 2007-2010, Hope United Methodist 1993, Camden United Methodist 1985-1987, Colburn United Methodist 1985-1987, and Bainbridge United Methodist 1982-1983. He also served as one of the Contemporary Worship Pastors of Angola United Methodist 2000-2002.
Most of his 30 year career has been spent as an attorney where he has held positions in both the public and private sectors. For the last 18 years, he has practiced in the area of Social Security Disability, helping disabled persons obtain benefits and health insurance.
He was born in Hartford City, Indiana. He grew up in several places in Indiana and Michigan. He graduated from South Bend John Adams High School in 1979, from DePauw University in 1983, and from Indiana University School of Law in 1986. He has completed several courses at Asbury Theological Seminary and has earned certificates in continuing medical education through John Hopkins Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and the Cleveland Clinic.
Over the years, he has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Ball State University and Tri-State (now Trine) University, and as an Assistant Professor at Martin University.
Admitted to practice before the Social Security Administration, the Department of Veterans Affairs, United States Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Court in Northern Indiana, United States District Court in Southern Indiana, United States District Court in Northern Ohio, and Indiana State Courts.
