Purchased a used Expedition from Joe Machens Capital City Ford and had a great experience. I found the car on cars.com and when I called I spoke with Sara Myers. She was able to provide details about the vehicle, answered my questions, and made an “out of town” buying experience easy. Within 24 hours we were headed to Jeff City and the truck was ready to go when I arrived. Price discussions were straight forward and I received a very fair price for my trade in vehicle. Sara made the whole process enjoyable and I’d highly recommend her and the whole Joe Machens team that made this a great experience! Oh, and the service waiting area has Starbucks coffee and ICE CREAM!!! I love my 19 Expedition Max!
I recently purchased a 2020 Explorer ST, the experience from the whole Machens team was courteous, professional and accommodating. I actually found another vehicle on Autotrader they had listed, however it sold before I was able to take a look at it in person, as I live 3 1/2 hours away. But working with Christian he was able to provide me with some comparable vehicles. Luckily one of them was still there at the dealership when I was able to finally make the trip. My ST is still going through the Ford Certification and I will get to pick it up in a few days. I would definitely do business with them again, even if it is several hours drive away.
I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I had picked one color of car out and decided I didn't like that color so we had to redo all the paperwork for the other color. They were very understanding about that I made the process of buying a new car an easy one. Devin was our salesman and he was awesome. When we need a new truck that will be the place we go for it.
Worked with Jacob Cahill on the purchase of a 2022 Ford Maverick. Jacob was professional, responsive, and straightforward throughout the process. This was my 5th vehicle purchase, and I can say it was hands down the smoothest and most painless vehicle purchase ever. Highly recommend Jacob and Capital City Ford.
The salesman tool the time to address all our questions before, during and after the sale. The price was fair and the delivery process was super smooth! Probably the best dealer we worked with in our recent vehicle purchase. With any dealer, know your credit rating and get an idea of the going finance rates before you talk to the Finance manager. He or She is a salesperson as well and don't forget it!
I am a military member from out of state, and found a truck online at this dealership that I was willing to drive six hours to purchase. I started working with one of the online sales reps, who was very responsive and helpful. When we started to get down to business, I informed the rep that I had my own financing from Navy Federal Credit Union, and simply needed to confirm the "out the door" price. This is where the train started leaving the tracks. I was told that the dealership would only accept checks from "in state" banks, or else I would have to finance through the dealership. Red Flag. The state that I am stationed in exempts military members from having to pay sales and use tax on vehicle purchases. The rep informed me that if the computer calculated tax, that the dealership had to collect sales tax, even though I am exempt, and that I did not have the option to register the vehicle myself, in a different state, and that it is a requirement that a third party register the vehicle in the other state. Second Red Flag. The only option I was offered that allowed me to finance with my bank was to wire funds or mail a cashier's check, and wait for the check to clear before I could take delivery of the vehicle. Third Red Flag. This is 2022, and people are buying cars with bitcoin, how do you honestly expect me to believe that you can't accept a draft from an out of state bank, and fearful that you would be defrauded? This should have been a simple deal. The cost of the vehicle, the doc fee and done. Slap some 30 days tags on the rig and I'd be eastbound and down. The rep assured me that this was "corporate policy", and not some sales manager trying to force me to finance through the dealership, and pay BS fees. I was a customer, willing to travel to do business with you, who was ready to pull the trigger on this deal. I didn't try to negotiate a lower price, I just wanted a straight forward experience, only to find out that there were smoke and mirrors and arbitrary "policies".
This was my first experience taking a vehicle to the dealership, i chose Joe Machens Ford Capital City because it was close to home and a Ford Dealership. The experience was absolutely great, set the appointment up far in advance and dropped the truck off early, which ended up benefiting me because they were able to get it in early which i didn’t even think was a possibility, they exceeded my expectations by far. The knowledge that service done was done correctly and to OEM spec makes my mind at ease. I will return to Joe Machens in the future, they’ve earned a lifetime customer. The service provider Dutch W and Tony were very personable and honest, kept me informed every step of the way and insured i was taken care of during and even after the process to make sure i was 100 percent satisfied. That level of customer commitment is better than any shop i’ve ever been to.
This is the second vehicle I've purchased through Joe Machens Capital City Ford. This experience, like the previous, was top notch. The salesperson, Brian Mushrush, was knowledgable and friendly. From sales through the finance portion, everyone involved was great to work with. They presented all the options with no pressure to go one way or the other on any items. Excellent walk around of the vehicle to show me all the new bells and whistles with the new touchscreen console! I highly recommend this dealership for your next purchase.
Showed me better customer service quality than any other Jeff City Car Dealership. Will always recommend to anyone and everyone looking for a vehicle. They will work with you and give you the best deal, seriously! Plan on doing business in the future with this specific location. 10/10
On October the 7th I found a car at Capital City Ford, and sent in an inquiry through the website. Within a matter of minutes I had a response from Braden, and set up an appointment to view the car, the following day. On October 8th, Braden emailed me to let me know someone else was scheduled to view the car on the same day, and see if I was able to move my appointment up Thanks Braden!, when I arrived at the dealership the car was parked up front, after the test drive I decided I was ready to purchase. Braden was very quick in getting all the numbers and paperwork settled, and passed me off to Jason Hicks in finance. Jason is a rockstar! He explained everything thoroughly, and didn’t try to “sell” me anything he didn’t think I needed! I was on my way home, with my new car in 2 and a half hours which is about 6 hours less time than it took the last time I bought a car!. Any issues I had post sale Jason, Ben and Braden worked to resolve quickly. I am thankful for the great service I received from them, and I will be back when I’m ready for another car! Huge thanks to the three of you.
