Been here a couple times. Will definitely be back. My uncle caught a 12 pounder and the guy beside us caught a 20 pounder. I was asleep when it happened, that’s why there’s no photos of them but I did see the 12 pounder with my own two eyes at the end. There’s firewood and places to build fires which is nice. I look forward to catching a big one! Update: I caught a 10 pounder and an 11 pounder this morning!
I just can't say enough good things about this place. It has beautiful countryside sceneries everywhere you look. It's a fishing Pay Lake, Campground Community of RV owners, and a Peaceful place to spend a few days or a week. I highly recommend this place for the outdoor enthusiast and Fisherman alike. The main entrance is on West First Street in Springfield, Ohio. Their phone number is 937-323-4266. Every one is friendly and they asked that you call for directions to the 1st Street entrance if you don't know where that's at. Simply Beautiful!
If you’re looking for a nice, clean and serene fishing location, this is NOT it. GROSS… literally trash all over the place. Looks like homeless people living in tents around the lakes. This place looks like a dump site. Will definitely not be fishing here - ever…
Love it here it's so beautiful the wild life you could see and the camp fire's the fishing is great
This place is awful paid 30.00 for 2 to fish and sat there for 5 hours never got a bite. The place is seaweed overgrown, geese everywhere. There was maybe 10 other people and knowone caught anything. Don't waste your money.
The lake is ok sometimes I worry going there because you may or may not catch anything and it could be a waist of a drive if you don’t live in Springfield and waist of money me and my buddy been there more than a few times I’ll say a total of 72 hrs in a month n half and only caught 3 catfish so it’s a hit or miss lake honestly but go for yourself you may kill it that day !!
Have been going fishing here a couple years now. It's peaceful and have 4 lakes to choose from.
Scammed out of 30 bucks to sit under the sun for 6 hours, not a single bite, no one nearby got a single bite even if there was fish here the lakes a re so small thats its probably all been caught alredy
If they would stock their lake more often it would be a great place to fish. It's not over crowded because there is not a lot of fish to be caught the prices are reasonable
I caught my first big fish ever. If you have the patience this is definitely the spot. Not to expensive and kid friendly. You can also have a fire going and bring your grill and tents. For having to pay it's not a loss of money. Definitely a great spot to check out for fishing and camping. Not to crowded either
