Beautiful place to visit if you are in the area. Not someplace you'd go just for a day trip. Beach is sand until chest deep then it's mucky. Good bathroom and changing area. No showers. Parking lot closes at 530 the sign says. Doesn't seem to be rigid rule though.
One of the best mountain lakes, well, only one we visited. But loved it!! Playground: Enough Restrooms: Clean
There is plenty of parking spots, and places to grill. There is even a grill that is handicap accessible. The bathroom facilities were clean. The gate does get shut at 05:30 PM so if you stay later than that you have to move your car outside the gate. Other that it's a great park.
Beautiful lake with mountains in the distance. What a great view. Family loves it. Water was clean. Beach and facilities were clean.
Nice lake. Picnic tables, small beach, restrooms, grills. No lifeguards on duty. No glass or dogs permitted on beach. The water is fairly shallow going out pretty far so it's good for kids. Pretty quiet.
Well maintained recreation. Sandy clean beach with trim grass. Lake shore is free of debris and soft on bare feet. Seasonal bathhouse, picnic tables, grills and 2 clean water spigots. if gate is closed it is a short easy walk. Keep an ear out for Loons!
This little gem of a State Park is one of those free and open to the public places I wish we had more of in our State. There is a nice, usually clean beach and plenty of forest to explore. And my favorite part is that it's open all year long. Please visit and share this swimming hole with your family. They'll love it.
Beautiful views...lake and mountains.. Changing rooms and flush toilets. Nice picnic area with grills! No entrance fee. Donation box.
Forest lake is great. Had my grandsons birthday party there today. It should be called dalton town park. State of NH has nothing to do with it anymore. Give credit to dalton, they take excellent care of it.
People were not practicing social distancing what so ever ... sat down right beside us ... as there was many other tables or places to sit .....we then packed up and left
