This is one of the few parks in Clayton County that has something for everyone to do. Plenty of open ground to run around and have fun. Always clean and has a police presence for safety. The Christmas Lights is the attraction this time of year.
I became a member of the city recreation center on 01/03/2022 and enjoyed playing basketball. It have all the exercise equipment to get a good workout. If you're 65 & over the cost for a one year membership is only $5. The employees were very helpful and professional.
My grand kids love this park and so do I
My baby girl loves this park It's very big and have nice play areas for the kids... Most definitely would recommend!
Always enjoy the place. Sometimes I walk on the out door trail. Sometimes I use the cardio room inside. Equipment is good and the yearly fee for residents of Forest Park is great! There have an indoor pool too.
After school time with my son having g lunch. It was the best day ever. We got an opportunity to talk casually in the sun at the park tables. Went for a nice walk before retiring for the evening. Parents this is a great place to spend some time with your children; and it's FREE!!!!!
Always a Fun Time up there Playground: Big amount of space to play
Enjoy this rec center we utilized the pool a lot this summer, indoor pool was never over crowded, outdoor pool another story. The park has a nice family area.

1st let me start off by saying I have been participating in sports here for over 25 years. I started my son here playing tball & basketball. This has been the worst experience of my life. Went to sign my son up for basketball I was given so much misinformation by Mike... was advised I would pay one amount. When my fiancé went up there to pay. She was charged a totally different amount. It was so much confusion Mike told I can have a refund. Even though on the application it says no refunds. When I went to get my refund Mike wouldn’t give it to me. Said I needed a reciept that he didn’t provide. Ultimately I let my son play. Because it’s about the children & just a fair game. Next issue speaking of fair games. Wasn’t sure of all the rules and regulations because it was peewee basketball. Went to the office while the game was going on. Ran across Ms. Abbey. I asked could I have some info on the the rules/ regulations on basketball. She gave me a pamplet about policies and conduct by players and coaches. I wasn’t sure what she was giving me so I stepped to the side and glanced over the papers. Just to be sure the info I wanted was or wasn’t there. Ultimately it Wasn’t what I was looking for so I walked back and tried to explain myself more clearly. She advised that she didn’t know anything about it, and that she couldn’t help. I asked was there anybody else that can help, because this was info I need for future to help my son & family member that participates in sports at Fpark. I don’t know if she didn’t feel like being bothered.. or she was having a rough morning. But I asked was there anybody else that can help me. She advised I was being rude and that I needed to leave her window Without any of the information that I asked for. Luckily... It was another member of the staff there to help But, If you don’t have the info. Pass me on to someone who can help and get out the way. What makes it so bad... these are high members of the staff. Directors at that.. with bad attitudes who doesn’t even wanna help. If you do choose to sign your little ones up for anything in FPark. Definitely don’t work with Mike or Abbey. They have been up there to long to have nasty attitudes with people that grew up around the recreation center, & spent as much money as I have with them. I have plenty of stories of displeasure from this rec center. These are just the most recent. Because of this I’ll just sign my son up at another park. Which I’m sure Mike or Abbey doesn’t care, I just really feel the need to express how I feel/ felt about what is going on up there. I know some many parents who have children who stay in the Forest Park area. Who will drive to South Fulton or Lakecity to get away from all the BS from Forest Park Rec. it’s a shame!
