Great museum that traces the history of the 1st Armored Division to the 1800s. Very well maintained. Open during weekdays from 0900-345pm.
Great experience. There was no line to get inside the museum. A lot of history here. Highly recommend this place.
A museum that's closed on weekends, never heard of, I wonder what's the intention behind this weird schedule? Are they encouraging personnel to visit the museum during duty hours? A great leader can make this museum great by changing the operating hours to a normal Museum schedule, For now it looks like the leaders does not value the history of this wonderful base. If it was up to me, I'll have it open daily, and I'll even encourage all the nearby schools to organize special trips to this museum, a great way to encourage enlistment, and to instill pride in the minds of our young and future heroes.
Throughly enjoyed the museum. I thought it was going to be a lot smaller, however there was a lot of exhibits inside from a ton of different eras. Very cool and a great was to spend a rainy afternoon. Free admission for anyone is a great bonus as well.Visited onWeekdayWait time1 hr+Price for adult entryFree
This is a brand new museum being put together by the 1AD. It is very informative as well as interesting. They are doing a fantastic job. This is a must see if you are in the area.
I could only see the tanks, which were great, with one exception: the plaque for the M4 Sherman. The museum mentioned two engines but left off the first my favorite, so American “make do” in a pinch Chrysler Multibank gasoline engine. That engine was installed in the early model M4 hustled off to war, the Grant was a dismal failure and had to be replaced quickly. That engine should not be left off. Also, the V2 Rocket is gone, please bring it back!
Interesting museum covering a brief history of Fort Bliss and First Armored Division. Museum is a bit dated and worn, but has much to offer to include a kids operation center with uniforms, guns, and props to play with and some other available activities.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
I’m sure it is a fantastic museum. One that we would have been able to personally experience if it was open outside normal-ish business hours on weekdays only. Please staff the museum to make it available to visitors on the weekends.Visited onWeekend
A great place to visit for military history covering a wide number of eras and years. It has some amazing replicas and artifacts if you're into anything to do with the military.
Much to see and experience for those interested in 1st Armored Division and Fort Bliss history. This museum has room to grow as there is much available space to add new displays...expect to spend an hour here.
