The Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP) mission is to support the command and community in maintaining unit and personnel readiness and quality of life by providing substance abuse deterrence efforts, community education and prevention programs, and identification and referrals for rehabilitation services while shaping the capability to meet future requirements.

A community free of substance abuse.
Goals / Objectives:
• Educate and train Soldiers and civilians about drugs and alcohol, and the potential impact / consequences of use and / or abuse
• Deter substance abuse through an aggressive urinalysis program
• Identify Soldiers and civilians with substance abuse problems as early as possible
• Return to full duty those Soldiers and civilians identified as having substance abuse problems, who demonstrate the ability to be substance free and have the potential for continued service
• Increase command and staff involvement
• Quality trained personnel
• Increase community awareness
• Implement common levels of service
