"Answering the Call"
The Fort Mill Fire department was established in 1915 and was an all volunteer staff until December 1994 when the first paid firefighter was hired by the Town. Currently, we have 12 full time firefighters and 17 volunteers. We operate out of a single fire station located on Tom Hall Street with 8 pieces of fire apparatus. We have 2 engines, one tanker, one service truck, one grass unit pick up truck, one command vehicle, one utility pick up and a 95' ladder truck. We answer approximately 400 emergency calls a year and speak to over 3,000 adults and children every year concerning fire prevention and safety.
To be a professional, responsive, well-trained Fire Department that provides safe, effective, reliable services to protect lives and property and provide fire education and prevention programs to our community.
